Austin TX (AP)
The Texas Board of Education approved new health textbooks for the state's high school and middle school students Friday after the publishers agreed to change the wording to depict marriage as the union of a man and a woman.
I'm a bit saddened by this article being posted for the third or fourth time. ;-)
What was it BEFORE this?
Awesome< I smell a gay marriage backlash a brewing, those idiot liberals tried to sneak one past us, big mistake
That'l teach those smart alec New York publishers.
I said between marriage between "two people", they made them change it to "husband and wife." Plus something else, the old wording of the textbook also promoted condoms for safe sex. Texas made them change it to say "abstinence" is the only way for safe sex. God love 'em.
Way to go, Texans. Keep it up!
(Now if the rest of the country will do this too...)
This is one news item that should be posted over and over and over. It sure beats the hundreds of phony polls we've been subjected to for the last six months and takes less band width.
It sure beats half the vanities that keep popping up around here as well.
It sure beats the cross-over garbage from the other website that keeps sliming the forum here.
It sure beats any mention of all the old has-beens, such as M. Moore, et al.
It happens to be good news on a topic that Free Republic is proud to grace its pages with.
The best reason though, is because I haven't seen it yet. ;>
Yep, what's wrong with good news being repeated? First I saw of it! Blackbird.
WOW!
Way to go!
Wish we had that mindset in NJ.
