who will it be
That's a thought. However, Steele hasn't been doing much to show that he would be successful in that kind of power position. Besides, the 'Rats (and the MD media, among others) have written him off as a puppet to shift the black vote to the right.
Mccain/Rice would be a lock in the general election.
Condi perhaps??
Whatever real conservative survives the next 4 years without making an a** of him/herself.
He is not, he is a true conservative. But I can also tell you he would never run and hates Washington DC.
I think he's pro-choice. I personally can't stand him. He's vengeful (with Bush, for yrs) and spoke against the SBVT. He's more of a Rat than Zell.
McCain kinda gives me the creeps, he reminds me of Peter Lorre when he laughs.
"Larry Elders/JC Watt"
That's Elder, no "s".
Can't think of any qualified candidates off the top of my head. You have any thoughts?
Just kidding. But I admire the man.
Prospective winning candidates:
George Voinovich (Ohio)
Bill Owens (Colorado)
George Allen (Virginia)
Steve Largent (Oklahoma)
Jeb Bush would have a problems that they start to call "Bush fatigue"
McCain, Guiliani, Pataki and anyone else socially liberal would kill the party in 2008.
Bill Owens/Tommy Franks
I could see that ticket. It definitely would give Hillary some problems. My only problem with any republican senator being nominated at the top of the ticket is that they generally lose because they have a record of voting on specific issues. Opponents can use that to their advantage.
Hillary has the same problem but she has been voting more centrist rather than liberal because she knows she is running.
So do I. What he did took a lot of guts.
R. Lee Ermy (of Mail Call fame)
I suggest Bush/Allen. Two southern conservatives. Jeb for eight years and then George (recent Chairman for the Republican Senate Campaign - +4) for eight more. Both will win Florida (no longer a swing state then), both will have great appeal in southern Ohio (especially against Hiltery), both will carry faith based voters, Jeb with wife will increase Hispanic vote, both will lock NRA, both are for decreasing taxes, and so forth. We need a true conservative President that can get elected with a true conservative Vice President that can get elected after the President.
well......its got to be someone the Prez can really trust. i say condi stays right where she is...W will talk her into it.
he doesnt like change. i think when ridge leaves, rudy takes his place....larry thompson replaces ashcroft.
