Was it all a dream? I know it really happened. I know I was actually standing on that pier in Boston Harbor four months ago, shoulder-to-shoulder with an ecstatic crowd, watching as John Kerrys boat approached us.

I admit I made a serious miscalculation. I told some people I would have a drink for every Rat that has a meltdown. My liver is threatening to leave even though he is enjoying the show too. What, you don't talk to your internal organs? I think by Monday mine will be answering me...in three languages.

Yeah well at some level it is funny, but on another level man is it frustrating, I come home totally worn out. I can't imagine how those actually vilified (like GWB) actually deal with the venom.

What are Democrats whining about?
*They nominated as weak a candidate as possible, making some wonder if they deliberately threw the election. And an inexperienced ambulance chaser for a VP.
*Kerry proved to be a comical figure, posing for ridiculous photo-ops, and lying, lying, lying.
*He waffled on almost every issue (except two that really matter to voters -- marriage & protecting our borders -- and on these he held an unpopular position.
*He ran on his military record, yet refused to release parts of it, revealing that he had things to hide. Then there were the SBV.
*Then there was his wife, who refused to release her tax statements. And Alexandra in her see-through dress. Many just didn't want them roping in our White House.
*And MSM pushing him, holding a double standard, only offended voters' sense of fair play.
*The National Guard fiasco -- attacking Bush with false documents about a non-issue. This diverted from serious criticisms of Bush.

I'll go to confession later...
Does this mean "thou shalt not gloat" is something that comes with penalties?

Is it too much to say that this is the greatest victory for our side ever? Bigger than Reagan 1980, or the Republican revolution of 1994? I say it is. Their side gambled everything this time, and lost their shirtsplease tell tereza heinz and susan estrich to please put their shirts back on....

Yeah, I'd be worn out too if I had to deal with that crap on a daily basis, and might not be in the laughing mood. I'd probably just tell the nutcase to simply not even think about talking poliltics with me. It's just not worth the agro.

Not hard at all - 11% disliked Kerry so much they voted for Bush, add another 10% or so who simply voted party line out of habit.

LOL (seriously) it sounds like your co-worker must be reading Ann Coulter excerpts at DU. Be sure to ask what kind of gun he has next time you see him or did he have second thoughts about how evil the 2nd amendment and guns were? Oh, ask about how many more democrats would be alive today if they hadn't been aborted.

You will NOT take away the right to abortion. I will go get a gun." His face turned nearly purple....I can understand a woman feeling this way, perhaps, but why does he have such an obsessive attachment to abortion?

That's usually the attitude I try to take. I'd promised myself he wouldn't bait me...and I reisted for over an hour of constant sniping about "what are moral values?" "I only ask because that's what a lot of "those people" voted for". He'd get no response, then 5 minutes later he'd whine "It's scarry...my rights are under attack". He'd get no response.
Finally after about an hour of this nonsense I responded. And we were off...
I need to learn how to ignore him. I think that would bother him more. I wish I could just walk away but we work where that just isn't an option.

I'll have to quiz him about guns next time I let him wind me up!
