The ONLY way this kind of investigation would have happened is if sKerry would have won. And then it would have only been a show trial with the express purpose of showing that that liberal media bias was a Conservative myth.

I've been doing my part to bring them down for a couple of years now. I never, ever, watch them.

There is no surprise here, just wistful sadness.
It was said long ago by I don't remember who that the seeds to the destruction of our political system was inherent in the system itself. I just didn't think I would live long enough to see the beginning of the end.

There is nothing huge about this at all. The manipulation of information is only incidental to the story; it is not the story itself.

The acceptance that the value of the vote of the ignorant, the incompetent and the weak of spirit and mind is worth exactly as much as that of the informed and engaged citizen is the rot that is bringing the system down. That the feebleminded, who can be swayed and manipulated by the scam artists, the charlatans and the political con artists by the expedient of exploiting the "wanting to be on the winning side" juvenile part of human nature is the story.

I do accept that the manipulation can be and may one day be successful. That is the story. The simple observation that the results of elections is the prosaic process of counting votes no longer holds true.

I hope I can participate in the explosion when the manipulators are at last successful.
Alternatively, I am fascinated at the possible ways that the manipulators may be defeated. After all, no one can force anyone else to announce the winners before all the votes are counted. Perhaps herein lies the hope.

OK. I am looking forward to '06 and '08.

I went to bed on election night at the normal time (early) and slept well. For the six months prior to the election I was repeating the same thing over and over, whenever overwrought Freepers wanted to discus ad nauseam the latest poll:

POLLS DON'T DECIDE ELECTIONS, VOTES DO.

I was wrong and will be sure to correct it next time. The more accurate observation, painfully obvious after this fiasco should be:

POLLS AND NETWORK NEWS DON'T DECIDE ELECTIONS. VOTES DO!

At 269 they should have called it for Bush, that's all Bush really needed.

I recall seeing one of the dingbat lib TV media women after the election all upset because she insisted "only the non-partisan media" had the right to call states in Presidential elections.

I can't recall which idiot she was - They are all "absolutely interchangeable"!

Gotta even give ABC's lib anchor Peter Jennings for not backing off on Slick Willie. I was surprised.

For some reason I want to say it was Katie Couric, the BAD GIRL!
