Britsh columnist Greg Palast, who fancies himself as a kind of Michael Moore for across the pond, insists in today's column that John Kerry won the majority of the vote in Ohio, and -- at least by his reckoning -- won the election.
Palast tries to use CNN's exit polling data to justify his outlandish position, completely ignoring the actual counts from the state Secretary of State's office. He incredibly attempts to use the race card to further bolster his insane position.
At 1:05 a.m. Wednesday morning, CNN's exit poll showed Kerry beating Bush among Ohio women by 53 percent to 47 percent. The exit polls were later combined withand therefore contaminated bythe tabulated results, ultimately becoming a mirror of the apparent actual vote. Kerry also defeated Bush among Ohio's male voters 51 percent to 49 percent.Palast also insists that the close victory in New Mexico also belongs to Kerry. He blames provisional balloting in that case. What Palast doesn't tell you is that the bulk of the provisional vote -- something the DEMOCRATS insisted on -- went for Democratic candidates (including Kerry), and Kerry still lost the state.the exit polls are accurate. Pollsters ask, "Who did you vote for?" Unfortunately, they don't ask the crucial, question, "Was your vote counted?" The voters don't know.
The election in Ohio was not decided by the voters but by something called "spoilage." Typically in the United States, about 3 percent of the vote is voided, just thrown away, not recorded.
And not all votes spoil equally. Most of those votes, say every official report, come from African-American and minority precincts.
Palast is one who rabidly hates the GOP in general, and the Bush Administration in particular.
Palast practically wanted to desecrate Ronald Reagan's grave, and insisted that he was "in hell" for what he had done in office.
What Palast has little consequence to anyone on this side of the Atlantic, but in the UK, he does his best to stir up as much anti-American sentiment as he possibly can.
Hey Greg
Bite Me!!!
(Like we give a damn what you think.....and I am an African American who voted for BUSH)
Nah. Not fatass enough.
Palast tries to use CNN's exit polling data...
Hehehe. I gues that's the flip side to the exit-poll sucker punch we felt at 1pm: the exit poll wedgie the libs were all feeling by 9pm. Sweet.
"Most of those votes, say every official report, come from African-American and minority precincts."

'every official report'. I haven't seen any official reports. The election ended just 2 days ago, not even all the votes and provisionals are in or counted yet.
Even if this is true, it proves nothing. It is not the function of the state to simplify voting beyond what's required for an average person. If some group is not up to the task (whites, blacks, the elderly, stupid people, etc), they should get their own house in order. There are no barriers being intentionally placed in their way, and he admits the process is easy enough for 97% of voters to master. He should stop whining and get a job. In fact, making use of one's right to vote is probably too EASY. How about an intelligence test, a test of Constitutional knowledge, or only allowing taxpayers to vote?
Yes, there are still millions of lefties to whom nonbelief in their wacky, screwball, socialist future means that one must be a hater and a troglodyte. We'll always have these nuts, but the Dems must jettison the likes of Palast, Moore, Sharpton and other leftist nitwits to again be a legitimate force in American politics. And that gay marriage initiative in the election year cost Kerry millions of votes...as it should have. The Dems just don't get it.
And what would that advice be?
He's probably referring to lies paid for by the taxpayers and bought from Marion Frances Barry's "Civil Rights Comission".
Oh gee, another white male claiming the votes, opinions, etc, of white males don't count. Except for his, of course. I think the problem with some of these idiots is that no one ever bothered to kick their a$$ back in school. If someone had, they wouldn't have nearly the disconnect with reality that they do.
No, No, No! It was the 2000 election where disenfranchised black people were the reason that the nimnuts lost.
This year it is the gays and the gay marriage issue that caused the homophobes to band together and cause another undeserved, unexpected defeat of the Glorious Party. Just ask any elected RAT or MSM liberal.
Sheesh Palast, I don't want to have to correct you again...

Speaking of the florida recount, check this out:

Well, absolutely no way, dude! Joe Lockhart said all those Dem lawyers were standing around with nothing to do because everything ran so smoothly and there were no problems. LOL :^)
Boy, that statement really backfired on him, didn't it?
Go Phuck himself.
I had a spoiled ballot, first time ever. I marked "Yes" instead of "No", which I meant to mark on one of our propositions. Everything else was fine. When I asked the poll workers, they said I could let that one go through as it was or get a new ballot. I could only mess up one more time. I had to write SPOLIED on it in black marker and then they put it in a big plastic sleeve with about 15 or 20 others.
Oh yes, I'd forgotten about that whole phucking "scandal".
How does one spolly a ballot? ;-)
LOL, sorry...SPOILED!
"Spolly" sounds like a Brit word. I'm half-Brit so that makes sense, I guess. :^)
