I am not questioning your veracity. I would like it to be real but you have to admit that I would expect a form letter by a senator to look more professional. What bothered me about this document is the header (it is uneven and looks like it was pasted to the document).

What also bothered me is if these points were put forth by Specter, why have we not heard about this before? Why would the President back him up knowing that such an incendiary document like this was out there? Why is there no signature?

I just wanted to approach this with a grain of salt.

If I was running for office and my campaign staff tried to send out letters that looked that crappy I'd smack 'em upside the head.

OK General, the letter is real and you scanned it yourself. Where did you get it, when did you get it, and how did you get it?

I've seen the letterhead of several Senators before and none of them ever looked as crappy as that. The whole letter looks like it was printed on the worst printer ever made. No Presidential candidate would send a letter that crappy looking to people he's trying to persuade for donations.

I'm sorry but this really, really does look like a hack job. I'm not accusing you personally of anything but this just doesn't look right. Specter is scum, but this letter looks like crap.

The key to believing this letter is the fact that he mentions getting the pro-life plank out of the platform. When he was running for prez back in 1995 he was under the impression that the majority of Republicans hated that plank. He actually thought it was a winning issue because all his pro-abort friends told him so.

This letter is a perfect picture of the man.
