Electoral Vote Predictor 2004: Kerry 252 Bush 279

I entered the semifinal results in the spreadsheet, so it is now available in both Excel and .csv formats.

Here is a county-by-county map of the U.S. showing who won where. From looking at the map, you wouldn't know that almost half the population voted for Kerry. It shows very clearly how Kerry's base is in highly-populated urban areas and Bush's base is more in suburban and rural areas.

Almost half the population of 300 million is 54 million? I guess he is using NEW math.

What is going on with the blue counties and parishes along the Mississippi river in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi? I wonder why they are blue with read all around them?

You may have to wait a few days to get the final results of that large county in California on the Nevada border. That is Mono County and the vote tally for Bush and Kerry is tied at 2900 each.

This is the "Delta Region". The remnants of old plantations with many small towns of mostly-black populations.

You can see that clearly on this map of population densities of African-Americans in the U.S. on this map:

That map clearly answers the Miss river question. And I know where the mostly hispanic & Indian reservations areas are. Now what about the blue areas in Iowa & Wisc. & Minn. Why such large puddles there?

memphis, St. Louis and other MS River cities have long tradition as labor towns moving farm products. Notice that in WS the industrial cities Milwaukee and Racine are near the lake and RED. - my opinion based upon observations not demographic or historical science.

I noticed this yesterday - the last paragraph on the "map" page. For anyone who doubted the "sincerity" of the webmaster of this site, and who questioned the "non-biased" numbers, here you go:

If you are a senior majoring in computer science and are seriously thinking of leaving the country due to the election results, you might be interested in my international English-language masters program in parallel and distributed computer systems. If you are a faculty member in computer science, I would be very grateful if you would go to that Website and download and print the poster (a PDF file) and pin it to a bulletin board where potential students might see it and mention it in any classes you teach to CS seniors. Thank you.
