Inquiries from Americans wanting to move to New Zealand have "exploded" since George W Bush was re-elected president.
The Immigration Service's website had 10,300 hits from the United States the day after the election. Usually it gets 2500 hits a day.
And the phones of its US marketing directors in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Portland, Oregon, have been ringing nonstop since the election.
Marketing director Don Badman said there had been up to 300 telephone calls and emails a day.
"We've been doing this for 11 months and it's been building up to about six to eight calls a day, but from Thursday it's exploded. It really started picking up from 11pm the night of the election."
The San Francisco Chronicle reported that many Americans were inquiring about moving to New Zealand, Australia and Canada as a result of the election. (...)

As I posted to several threads about the libs running - If all the libs leave, think of all the jobs they will lose. Great for the economy.
American Liberals: North Korea Welcomes You!!!
(P.S. - Please bring some food.)
I bet the natives are getting restless
Let's see there are about 54 Million people that need a place to GO. Start now so you all will be gone by 2008.
Yup, but wherever these defecting liberals go, they will overwhelm the locals and demand that everyone else speak English.
Uruguay just voted in a gang of leftist guerilla cut-throats. All of our disillusioned and "battle-hardened" American revolutionaries will do just fine in Montevideo.
Ready... Aim...
It makes me dizzy. Hell, I've often wondered if I should move there someday to get away from the lefties here! LOL
Yup,.......the British are moving to America and taking over T.V. shows/programms in increasung numbers...
(Philth T.V. NOW)

I agree, Send them to Quebec, The rest of Canada can join us. BC is liberal, but they would leave before becoming "B@stards".
Sounds like you were raised the way I raised my kids.
My little grandson decided to run away from home last spring----they said "See ya" and followed him down the street until he turned around and headed home.
That's what the libs will do,it's all just empty threats.
They'll get a shock, because there are conservatives in New Zealand, too, I gather:

Why should we have to pay their way? I say let George Soros, et al. pick up the tab. He obviously has money to burn. As for the rich celebs -- they can pay their own way. Many of them probably have homes in other countries already. I wouldn't hold my breath, though. Still waiting for Alex "the Bloviator" Baldwin to leave!
They need to go to Quebec. If they do, then Canada will break up.
G-T-F OUT, domestic enemies!!!!!
Don't let the screen door hit ya in your brain housing.
GIT!!!!
Hey Libs,
Don't let the border hit you in the ass on your way to a new la la land! Parts of New Zealand receive the most rain of any spot on earth - that should match your moods precisely.
Canada has already said "no way" . . . .

TORONTO -- Americans attempting to escape four more years of President George W. Bush won't get any special treatment in Canada.
The Immigration Ministry said they'll have to wait in line just like immigrants from any other country.

More than one American disgruntled by election results has talked about moving to Canada, where less violence and public health care in exchange for higher taxes are among the attractions.
Canada's social climate is to the left of the United States, with programs such as public health care. There's also the promise of legalized gay marriage.
The U.S. consulate in Toronto estimates there already may be a million Americans living in Canada.
All immigrants need a work permit. No job offer? Apply for a job in the skilled worker category -- but be prepared to wait a year, and have enough money to support yourself in the meantime.
"...if they all start...thinking New Zealand is a socialist paradise."
If we had anything close to your immigration requirements here in the states, and made an effort to enforce them, one of our most pressing problems would be solved.
One condition, they give up US citizenship and never come back.
