This is it in a nutshell. It shouldn't be this way but this is an absolutely true statement.

my standard wedge argument(for Israel) was "i am a better Jew than you are, and I am Catholic" bottom line is most Jews don't care. I knew I got to one of my daughter's parents when she said that she would "have to ask her Rabbi"
