Here is the video clip of Rather's infamous comment to Ed Bradley about the White House having used the blogosphere with great success during the campaign and speculating that it would now unleash this same sinister force to pressure Kerry to concede even though the network had not yet called Ohio.

The MSM can no longer compete because they cannot function apart from their lies...
Search engines brought down the msm...and those willing to use it...
when the audience talks back...and among themselves in real time...the liars have their pasts and their own words held up for public scrutiny..

After the latest fiasco with C-BS supporting Dan Blather's fraudulent reporting, Blather is still working. Unbelievable! Anyone else would have been fired on the spot.
Actually, it's fair to say that Bush and Rove pretty much ignored the internet as a medium, other than setting up their official website--something everyone does these days.
It's mostly the left that poured in money and political power to try to sway the voters. MoveOn.org is an obvious instance. In contrast with FreeRepublic and other conservative sites, it was founded by politicians and funded by politicians and big Democrat donors.
Salon.com was an earlier instance. The left poured millions down that rat hole, and used it on several occasions to run major propaganda campaigns on behalf of clinton, orchestrated from the White House and the DNC, as in its attacks on the American Spectator and on Paul Mellon Scaife. Nothing like that has ever been done by conservative political operators.
Most bloggers are people, some from the right and some from the left, who are doing their own thing. As far as I know, only the big money leftists and politicos have tried to manipulate the blogosphere. Unsuccessfully, so far. They have wasted their time and money.
He hasn't looked me in the eye for a long time. Why listen to the rantings of someone who continuously slants the news. Facts are facts, and if someone decides to manipulate them, they don't deserve the name of news reporter.
I know! Where is the so-called "investigation" into the whole CBS mess? Haven't heard a word, just like I thought. They will sweep this under the rug just like everything else. Just shows that the MSM has no scruples or respect for the truth. Makes me sick.
But they'll never admit CBS is the center of the liberal "blaaabosphere".

Follow the "sweep under the carpet" of NYT lies before election. Do you hear anyone mention the so called "missing explosives" anymore? How about sKerry's complete military file being released or te-RAY-za's IRS records being released? WHY DO THE DEMONCRATS ALWAYS GET A FREE PASS?
I've asked myself that very same question so many times, my head feels like it is going to start spinning around! A democRAT can do anything (including murder - see Teddy the Swimmer) and never be questioned. Yet, let a Republican do anything questionable and the MSM is all over it!! I don't understand it and never will. I fear that the MSM will never change and neither will the democRATS. They just don't get it!
