I wholeheartedly support REPUBLICAN Tancredo in all future campaigns and do not support Pat "Reform Party" Buchanan for any office (though Pat DOES manage to get it right on the immigration issue -- too bad he's wrong on everything else)
You're right, Bush WON nationwide, and especially won COLORADO by an a decisive margin, so many you Tancredo hating RINOs should "get over it" and stop spewing this "Tancredo hurt Bush" stuff. Perhaps you can start a therpy group with fellow Tancredo-hating RINOs like "Republican" Wizard, he blindly votes for anyone "his president" endorses in the primary, and as a result you have scum like Arlen Specter getting re-elected and "delivering" their states to a bright shade of Kerry red.
You RINOs should get a clue and stop being little mouth pieces for Karl Rove's personal preferences in the primary. But if you guys prefer a socialist like Arlen Specter over a patriot like Tom Tancredo, that's your problem. Certainly the Republican voters in those respective states got a lot more of their "base" out with Tancredo than Specter.
If the Repubs are smart, they can keep the Hispanic vote and STILL do something about our hemorrhaging borders.
That's the way to do it. A firm stance on legal immigration & sealing the border BACKED by like minded Hispanics.
Use the power of the WH to raise the visibility and importance of Hispanics groups for legal-only immigration.
Still doing your shilling for the illegals, eh?
Bayourod is a pro-illegal alien shill.
Bush won. Get over it.
BUMP
2008=Sanford/Tancredo!
Hey bayourod, do you have anything better to do besides babbling you're nonsense on every immigration/Tancredo thread? Why don't you get a clue. Are you an illegal mexican or do you just profit from employing illegals? Which is it? Did Tancredo run over you're dog or something?
(The DCCC thanks you for your contribution to socialist Joanna Conti though!)
I know I'm very late to this thread, but here goes: the chairman of the republican party, Kenneth B. Mehlmen, just endorsed Tancredo for 2006.
Another one for the bayourod "boy was my face red" files.
If by effective you mean one that migrant workers cannot get over, under or through, you will never see that.
Do you know that the Berlin Wall never stopped one single person from crossing into West Berlin? It didn't. The guards with machine guns every fifty yards in towers and on the ground stopped people who otherwise would have simply climbed over the wall.
Fences are excellent for stopping vehicles and for delineating borders, but they have never stopped people from crossing.
When you were in the Seals and your unit came upon a chain link fence did you give up your mission and return to base saying the mission was impossible because of a chain link fence? What about a wall or a river or a "no trespassing" sign?
No matter how tight you squeeze your eyes and wish, wish, wish, there is no magic fence, only 102,000 miles of land border and shoreline which would require well over three million guards to patrol as long as we fail to enact the necessary reforms that would allow us to secure the border.
The United States has a border perimeter of just under 20,000 miles. Your numbers are exaggerated by a factor of more than 5.
If that's true, it's just the latest lie written by bayourod.
I want the U.S.-Mexico and the U.S.-Canada border fully secure. The water parts of our border don't scare me quite as much.
