Sure, it always works.

There's a lot of grudges against 'pro-choice' Specter.
If the Left can get us to waste effort against him instead of the filibuster rule they win.

As long as they can block pro-life judges with 40 votes they can laugh at us and whoever is Chsirman, just like Specter said.

I don't care for moderates, as they are one step away from democrats. It is time to make as many gains as possible.
The judiciary is the whole ball game. Who knows what is coming in 2008?

Bush will have only 2 years to do his best work. Why hinder him?
