PLO chief reportedly refuses to leave money to spouse, millions could go toward terrorism.
Suha Arafat, wife of ailing Yasser Arafat, requested her husband this week draft a will leaving his multimillion dollar fortune to her, but Arafat refused, a Palestinian source told WorldNetDaily.
Meanwhile, Israel security sources said they're worried the PLO chief's money could be passed on to terrorists to continue the intifada.
Arafat is said to be worth hundreds of millions, mostly from money Israel says he secretly shifted to bank accounts in his name by allegedly plundering financial aid, mostly from European countries, sent to help a battered West Bank and Gaza economy over the years.
Forbes calculates Arafat, who comes in sixth behind Queen Elizabeth II in a list of wealthy world leaders, has a net worth of $300 million. Some Israelis believe Arafat's personal wealth may be as much as $11 billion, although in testimony to the Knesset last year Israel's chief of military intelligence, Aharon Zeevi, listed Arafat's personal assets at more than $1.3 billion.

Except most of the Americans wouldn't have a price on their head if they did a tell all.
Suha's not so dumb. I suspect she's put aside some money or at least has a man waiting in the wings. Besides, if Arafat only married to squash AIDS rumors she's probably already been paid off.
Believe me that gal has feathered her nest already. Being cut out of the will not be a big issue.
Ahhh... true love.
Sucks to Suha today.
I seriously doubt whether all of Tubby's ill gotten gains are going to be distributed in his will for all the public to see.
If it's from PLO, it's all BS, all the time.
Suha Arafat could pull a Hillry and stand in for Arafat, run things from Paris.
A legislator said the majority of Palestinians never related to Suha as the first lady of Palestine. "She was in fact the first lady of France," he remarked cynically.
Suha, who married Arafat in 1990 in a secret ceremony at his former headquarters in Tunis, was born to a Christian family from Ramallah. Her mother, Raymonda Tawil, is a nationalist poet and journalist who used to run the Palestine Press Service in Jerusalem.
Upon her graduation from the Rosary Sisters' School in Jerusalem, Tawil used her close connections with Arafat to obtain a scholarship for Suha at the Sorbonne in Paris.
The secret marriage came as a surprise to most Palestinians. For years, Arafat had told his people that the reason why he was single was because he was "married to the Palestinian cause."
:-)
Arafat is a perfect example of homosexuals being able to marry.
I don't know what all the fuss is about.
Maybe the widder can find a nice Leftist Queen to call hubby.
If there was any chance that she would have access to all that money her life would be measured in minutes.
You got that right. Remember when they did that fake funeral when the Israelis were attacking? The 'dead guy' fell off the gurney and got up and ran away?
Anyway, come on. People don't wait until they are on their death bed to deal with a will. Especially a person in as dangerous a business as Arafat and especially with as much money as that man has.
Arafat's money is going somewhere after his death. This issue has been dealt with handily many moons ago. Don't know how and don't know why, but no way is there no access to that money and no way is Arafat going to die and leave it all to Swiss bankers. Somebody has a way to get that money and this PLO crap is a smokescreen to keep the Israelis, even the Americans, away from the funds.
Thus that bit yesterday about his PLO buddies begging him for access to the money as he was being put on the plane to France. And now poor Suha is begging her brain-dead husband for the money?
This is all show for the rest of the world, that we'll go 'boo-hoo', poor Suha, the poor Palestinians. They get Arafat's terror money and who knows, convince Europe and America to send them more, those poor Palis.
Yeah, right.
i'm arriving late to this news item/event-is arafat homosexual? TX
Yes.
Rumor is he died of AIDS or AIDS related complications.
Could? I think it's more like will.
