Are there any theological freepers out there than can provide a Bible-based defense? I have heard this from gays before as a justification for Jesus accepting their homosexuality.
Thanks for the help.

Homosexuality (Topic#: 2582)
Much conversation has been bantered about concerning what God has to say about homosexuality. The Word of God is very clear about the cause, the punishment and the solution for homosexuality. GOD SAID homosexual activity is an abomination -- God's word for it -- and I'll show you the verses in the Bible where God says this. It also says God's punishment for the act is death. But don't stop your ears after these few short sentences. There is also a sure way of escape.
Leviticus, Chapter 20, Verse 13 reads:
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

(Also read Leviticus, Chapter 18, Verse 22 and Deuteronomy Chapter 23, Verses 17-18)
In the New Testament God declares that those who cling to homosexual behavior will be judged and cast into hell. Read the following excerpts from the Word of God:
Romans Chapter 1, Verses 21-32:
The text goes on and on.

It is true that nothing Jesus says about homosexuality is quoted in the Gospels.
Jesus does, however, say that marriage is sacred and that remarriage after divorce is adultury. Many churches which profess a belief in the Bible as the inerrant Word of God are in disobedience to this direct commandment of Jesus.

In Matthew, Jesus refers to the punishment visited on Sodom as just.
Case closed!

Check out Paul's epistle to the Romans....chapter 1 through about verse 30 or so.
Paul makes a compelling case that sexual deviance is the result of evil (sin). NOT the other way around. Therefore, it dispells the "born that way" myth.

I had the immense displeasure of having Patricia Ireland as my commencement speaker when I graduated from college. The hag spent what seemed like ages doing nothing but talking about herself and taking hits at conservatives. That, and talking about her first experience trying to obtain oral contraceptives. She never even bothered to say anything about us, seeing as we were the reason she was there.
What a crazy two-bagger.

I challenge anyone to point to one act that was deemed immoral in the OT but moral in the NT. I'm not talking about penalties or justification, but acts. I assure you that there is not one act that was deemed immoral in the OT and then deemed moral in the NT.

My Grandfather always drove Chrysler products. when asked why he never considered a Ford, he replied,
"I know my Bible and nowhere in it does it mention that
Jesus Christ and the Apostles drove Fords.
Naturally, one can assume it was because they were Chrysler men!'

Jesus lived and died as an observant Jew. Leviticus 18:22 is clear: Homosexuality is an abomination. For a fuller explanation on the Jewish view see the article recommended by Gary Bauer and others: "Some of My Best Friends are Gay: Instructions on Same-sex Marriage from The Manufacturer's Instruction Manual" at

Patricia Ireland just said that she grew up as a Christian in Indiana and asked that (paraphrase) "if there was a real problem with lesbians and gays, why didn't Jesus say anything about it?"The real problem with this Patricia Ireland statement has nothing to do with Jesus or the Bible. I think she equates fighting the redefinition of marriage with persecution of homosexuals. Of course, many people here and Christian conservatives in general do think homosexuality is sinful and bad. But that is not the same as the narrow question of whether marriage should be redefined.

Jesus endorsed old testament laws. Which explictly ban male on male sex.
However I don't believe the bible mentions women on woman sex anywhere.

Mark 10:6 [Jesus speaking] But from [the] beginning of the creation, God made them
male and female. [Gen 1:27]
10:7 For this reason, a man [singular] will leave behind his father and mother and will be joined to [or, united with] his wife [singular].
10:8 And they will bethe twointo one flesh [or, the two will become one flesh], with the result that they are no longer two, _but_ one flesh. [Gen 2:24]
10:9 Therefore, what God joined together, let not man separate!
Looks IRONCLAD to me no Divorce, Polygamy, Homosexuality Etc. Etc.

Hers is a ridiculous argument.
Jesus didn't say anything about Islamic Terrorists, Marshmallows or Beanie Babies.
