I've always thought that if Cheney ever has to step into office to replace Bush, he'd be far better than Bush because he's not a politician and he's incredibly articulate, which Bush is not.

Condi Rice will be going against the Hildebeast in 2008. She's also exceptionally talented and brilliant. The Republicans would get not only the women vote, but the black vote (Blacks will vote for black candidates simply because they're black, no matter if the politics agree with their politics, which shows that many blacks are racist too). LOL!

Cheney is forever smiling it is his stock in trade out on the stump and also at fund raiser, breakfast etc. He is one of the funniest politicians you can get it is because of RATS raving about white supremo male etc that the right has forgotten the real Cheney. Part of his friendship with GWB is because they both have a great sense of humour.

Also Cheney is a great politician a professional politician not a media one which is more GWB role. Cheney apart his 5 years as CEO of Haliburton has all his adult career worked in public office eiher in his own right for other Politicians. GWB has grown in stature and become more statemanlike but Cheney has been that for years. Cheney is a politician and true politician is unelectable as President; Cheney knows this and that is why he will never hold that title. He would make a great President but is not prepared to bend to get elected (Kerry type duck hunt photos etc) which IMHO this is why he would be a great President but unfortunately the mass population is not sophisticated and informed enough fto appreciate this.

IMHO he will once retired probably be one of the most sort after afterdinner speakers both for he articulation and his great sense of humour.

Whilst I think I agree with what I believe you are trying to say but IMHO you have missed the essence of the man and also the interpretation of a politician but then this may just be the difference in perspective between English and American.
