Thanks for the information. I believe that someone stated earlier that the cannabinol is extracted from the marijuana for medical use.

By the way, I'm not against pain relief. I'm sorry that anyone has to go through pain. I guess that contributes to making this a hot button issue. I didn't mean to deliberately antagonize anyone but I have seen and heard way too much about the tragedies of substance abuse.

You could try clicking the link provided by Sun Soldier in post no. 120, and have a look especially at Question 4 and you'll see that the National Institutes of Health agree with almost all of my "nonsense."

I'm not worried about real people near death that need this or if there are some ailments this works for with eyes and such.
As long as they put doctors out of business who prescribe this for recreational drug users and as long as this is allowed as a temporary drug for all but those on their death bed.

The issue is that we need to not allow recreational drug users to get in on this by way of people with cancer and such. Them doing that would be lame.

Therein lies the problem; medicinal use for a really bad hangnail.

"IMO, "the people" are not qualified to determine what should be legally declared a medicine. That is the function of the FDA. "The people," as exhibited by some of the posters in this forum, are all too willing to rely on emotional data."

I can see your point. However, how can the FDA approve a drug if their hands are tied by the fact that some states still do not allow the use of medical marijuana? Once people will vote to have the laws changed, and to make medical marijuana lega, then at that time the FDA could have the option of approving it. It's just a thought, I'm no expert, that's for sure. :)

I don't care if the Queen of Eygpt agrees with you. It's nonsense.

And the moment you "2nd prohibition" people floated the "Reefer Madness" nonsense in the 50s, you lost all credibility with the populace.
