THE RE-ELECTION of a "war-like" president shows Americans are "out of step" with the rest of the world, says a Liberal MP infamous for her attacks on George W. Bush. Mississauga-Erindale MP Carolyn Parrish said in Ottawa yesterday she's "dumbfounded" by Bush's victory. "He has been reconfirmed as their commander-in-chief, and he is a war-like man."
American voters showed that they are "completely out of step with most of the free world," Parrish said. "I guess it's a reflection of the profound psychological damage of 9/11."
The comments came just hours after Prime Minister Paul Martin warned his MPs in a caucus meeting not to make incendiary comments in the wake of the U.S. election.
'COALITION OF THE IDIOTS'
Parrish wasn't at the meeting and apparently didn't get the message.
Earlier this fall, Parrish publicly expressed her disdain for what she called the "coalition of the idiots" who back the U.S. missile-defence plan.
Last year, she referred to the Bush administration as American "bastards." Now, Parrish is urging Bush to dump his ballistic missile program, suggesting his immediate concern should be getting out of Iraq and Afghanistan.
"I would hope that he'd concentrate on getting the U.S. out of those two problems they've got," she said. "I think his immediate concern should be where he has soldiers dying."
How nice to be out of step with our cousins to the north.
If it weren't the US they'd all be learning how to speak Russian today.

Thank God we are out of step.
I would tell this Canadian MP that we do indeed care where our soldiers die. But more importantly we care for the cause for which they sacrificed their lives.I would be lying if I said I agreed with all of the tactics with which these conflicts have been fought, but the cause is Just,the bringing of Liberty. The sacrifice, the loss of our young men and women, is tragic, but in the end possessing a nobility to which History will speak.
Hmmmmm, let's see now. This person represents about as many people as a Texas state Senator (not US Senator) and we all know how much their opinions matter on the world stage.
The unfortunate socialists of Canada would do well to curb the cretinous spoutings of their representatives before the Wisconsin National Guard feels compelled to whip their butts and elevate them to the same global status as American Samoa.

And damned proud of it, too. As the "rest of the world" continues to slide ever deeper into the hellish abyss of immmorality, suicidal appeasement, and Marxism, we have stepped back from that fatal abyss.
I just hope we don't waste our time and treasure attempting to save the worthless carcasses of "the rest of the world" as they fall in.

I don't worry too much when the rest of the world is out of step with the country that keeps them safe and prosperous. I wonder what the PM would say if we closed the border and cancelled the Canadian part of NAFTA?

Dumbfound, found to be dumb, what's the difference? Also, we are the leader of the free world, and if parts of the rest aren't keeping time they are the ones out of step, not us.
