Was the punk showing his face yesterday?

I posted a thread yesterday specifically asking whether McAuliffe had gone into hiding. One person reported seeing him in a group TV shot, but no one had seen him give a TV interview. He's definitely gone underground.

And come to think of it, amid all the thank yous Kerry offered up in his concession speech yesterday, I don't recall him thanking Terry, do you?

McAuliffe and Ed Gillespie are scheduled to do a joint panel covered by C-Span 1 at 1 pm EST. When I saw this program on the C-Span schedule, I tried to think of how McAuliffe could turn Nov. 2 into a win with his totally divorced from reality spin coupled with his sh*t eating grin: "We had a very good day Tuesday. We put Ken Salazar, a Hispanic -- the first Hispanic ever elected in the Senate -- in office. And Colorado is a very Republican state, which George Bush won. We defeated Phil Crane, the longest-serving Republican in the House. What is he? Like a hundred years old.

"We're the party of the future. They're the party of 100 year old white guys and guys who want to turn all 16 year olds into drunks!

"We won the 18-25 year old vote. Republicans won seniors. Those seniors will all die by 2008, especially with another Bush term when he will take away their health care and their social security. Hey, all voters over 25 will be dead in 3 years with George Bush's policies, and so Democrats are in a good place to win every election from now on. And I mean from Dogcatcher, to Sheriff, to President!"

Now, was that a good McAuliffe prediction, OR WHAT????
