Rush to nomination....lol. The party is in absolute shambles. They are so far from the mainstream that unless they start listening to Zell, they are going to continue to be the party out of power.

One sunny day in 2005, an old man approached the White House from across
Pennsylvania Avenue, where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to
the Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with
President Kerry."
The Marine replied, "Sir, Mr. Kerry is not President and doesn't reside
here." The old man said, "Okay," and walked away.
The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the
same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry"
The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Kerry is not
President and doesn't reside here." The man thanked him and again walked away.
The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very
same Marine, saying "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry."
The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and
said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to
speak to Mr. Kerry. I've told you already that Mr. Kerry is not the
President and doesn't reside here. Don't you understand?"
The old man answered, "Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it."
The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow

Here is what I've been saying: So the Democrats need a new Senate minority leader, I hear John Kerry is available now.

This reminds me of something that happened at work today.
I was working on some computers at a temp agency this afternoon, and one of the women looked like she was about to break down in tears. When she left for lunch, the other workers were commenting between themselves about her. Trying to make some polite conversation, I asked what the problem was. They looked at me like I was completely clueless, and the manager said that it was because President Bush had won the election. I said, "I see," and just got back to work.
They began talking about some other things while I was working, and the manager started going on about how with Bush as president, they (who-ever "they" is) were going to try to take away the right to vote for Black people, and even bring back slavery! At that statement, I couldn't just keep my mouth shut. She actually said that "they" weren't going to allow the vote that gives Black people "the right to vote!"
This woman is convinced that every two years, Congress has to vote to reauthorize Black people to have the right to vote. She specifically stated that "Saudis can come here and vote, why can't Black people who were born here!"
This is the democratic constituency!
