"The patriotic and positive Obama will replace the quasi-criminal, racist demagogues Al Charlatan and Jesse Jackson as the media-designated top black spokesman." Don't bet on it. IL now has a Criminal Big Boss in Chicago. Rat insider as Governor and two anti-RKBA US Senators.

Either Rudy would have to basically renounce his prior position on gun control, or the Supremes would have made a definitive pro Second Amendment decision by that time. Don't hold your breath. That still leaves him out on a limb with social conservatives and other libertarians as well. He's more of a statist than other RINOs.

I gave him a pass on that comment. Regardless of the situation in Illinois politics, I don't see anything making Sharpton and Jackson close their pieholes other than the grim reaper. They're shameless fools.

Senate Summary: Change from pro-rights to anti-rights: ColoradoYeah, damn shame. About the only thing we did right was go for President Bush and the U.S. House races.
Owens better keep his promise to veto any more gun control BS.

Drudge: Ashcroft to resign. Ashcroft announced immediately after he became AG, that the 2nd was an individual right. Rudy would reverse that and reinstall the 'toon's definition.

I saw Rudy on TV within the last day or two denying any wish to be appointed to the cabinet. I believe he wants to go to Albany. That's his only realistic ambition, IMHO.

Sure, - an individual right that could be 'regulated' by banning semi-auto assault 'style' weapons.
The fact remains, -- the Bush administration is doing absolutely nothing to fight State & local infringements on our RKBA's.

Thanks Alan Keyes! Even the RINO IL GOP dislikes him. Now they are clamoring the airwaves pleading to dilute the Party to get elected. Nothing like mirroring a democrat just to get elected.

" the Bush administration is doing absolutely nothing"THat's a good thing and it's not unreasonable given the mindset of the electorate.

Is Illinois tilted that far left, or is Keyes such a bad candidate? I always liked him.

IL has bastions of conservatives in the northern half of the state. Downstate democrats dislike Daley and are bipartisan on RKBA. They dislike Daley messing with southern state affairs. Keyes (conservatism) is something centrist/moderate GOP leaders hate.

Ignoring infringements of our 2nd Amendment is a "good thing"? -- Not unreasonable?
Bet me.
Hard to believe what has become of this formerly free Republic.
