"Because they haven't had to fight for things. They've had the media. They've had willing accomplices that have never questioned them, have never forced them to debate, have never forced them in the arena of ideas to win there" I think this is the most important point he has made. I will add that as the media has lost its influence and the new media has gained the effect has been more and more vivid from one election to another.
Ah but that presupposes that they could gain by having to debate their beliefs if the media wasn't covering their butts
It would make it even worse for them not better cause their ideas are screwed up

"I saw Susan commenting on Ohio last night, and I was literally wondering if she was drunk."
I still remember Ann Richards at the Dem convention, the first nomination of Clinton, I think. I was really wondering if she was drunk, even though I knew she was well-known as a reformed drinker. I mentioned this to my brother who told me he had a theory about these things: whenever you see a famous person, and you think they are drunk, but you're sure that can't possibly be the case, they're plastered.

Yeah, it's true. kerry got snotty with the President, presuming to lecture him on how he's got to unite this "divided" country. But you know what really disgusts me? Everybody was saying how "noble" it was for kerry to concede to Bush this morning, how it showed he at least had some "class." Class? He was ready to challenge the Ohio outcome with a lawsuit until he realized he still wouldn't win.
That's when he conceded, when he realized it wasn't close enough to steal the election through the courts, through re-counts, through oceans of late balloting and all the other devious backdoor routes democrats take to grab power.
kerry is just as sleazy as ever. He conceded because he had no other choice.

Where would we be without Rush Limbaugh, liberals underestimate him (though deep down inside they fear him), but history will no doubt credit him as the leader of the Revolution Reagan started.
I don't think it's a coincidnce that the country has found it's heart and soul in the last decade while Rush became a megastar.
God Bless Rush.

On the exit polls:
The Kerry people were on TV, and you could see it: They were giddy; they were happy. The snarl was gone from Tad Devine's face. Lockhart could barely contain himself. They were just giddy. They were excited. They could barely contain the fact that they knew they had "won," all through four in the afternoon, five in the afternoon, six in the afternoon.
Physicist Richard P. Feynman said "You are the easiest person for you to fool."

No the media has seen it, that is why they have become more increasingly anti-american and vitriolic towards christians and republicans, no they see it loud and clear.

What's changed is before now we had no way to communicate with each other on a massive scale.
Unlike the Left who've always had the media to get their message out to their masses.
Now, the tide has changed and they know it.
Well said, tscislaw! I followed the whole election tv-free until President Bush's speech today. It worked out fine.

The country is "divided" because we reject the elite's socialism jammed down our throat. I hope these losers keep moving to the left.

As PJ O'Rourke once said, he doesn't mind being called a Nazi for one very good reason: No woman has ever had a fantasy of being tied up a ravished by a liberal.

Look at all the losers: ... the mainstream media
I think it is time to drop the expression "mainstream" media. It is old, outdated, biased and completely out of touch with the people.
I think it is time for a new name. I suggest that in the future we now refer to the former "mainstream" media as the "old fashioned" media.

Rush Limbaugh is in no small part responsible for the 2004 election results. This was the culmination of 12 years of hard work.
To: Holden Magroin
IMHO Rush and Newt Gingrich deserve 95+% of the credit for 1994.

"The left doesn't understand this. They have this sense of entitlement to power and superiority."
Boy, that's the truth. I had to listen to a 10 minute tirade from a superior at work today condemning all the "stupid" "bigots" who voted for GWB and declaring that the Dems' problem was that they didn't have someone slick enough to fool the slackjaw rubes in the hinterland (like Clinton did).
