VANITY POLL -- Happy Bush won or that Libs lost

Posted on 11/03/2004 12:45:58 PM PST by jcb8199

I know I probably shouldn't but I am curious--I feel kinda guilty about the fact that, while I am elated taht W won, I am ecstatic even more that the Left lost. How are you all feeling?

A) Happy Bush won

B) Happy the Left lost

I don't think there's much of a difference actually. I mean, we're happy that W won, but W won because the silent majority finally decided to be silent no longer and that means the left lost. And that makes me ecstatic because it means families won...virtue won...faith won...morality won...strength won...security won...conviction won...patriotism won...and my children's future won! Essentially, even though some will scoff, America won last night and thank God...

The America we always knew was out there somewhere, sitting around the dinner table, going to work every morning, sitting in the stands at a high school basketball game; the America that never was too keen on upsetting the apple cart...more comfortable thinking there's no way these radical kooks they see on the evening news and MTV could really affect their lives; the America that IS America...That America has finally said enough is enough! And from here on out, we will have no fear in confronting these valueless, moral black-holes called the liberal left, in fact I see now that the harder they push, the louder our voices will become. God bless you America and LET"S ROLL!

But highly concerned that a lying, treasonous, socialist commie could come close.

How do you excuse lying under oath and collaborating with the enemy? Apparently democrats (liberals) do not have a problem with this.

Thus, is it true that 49% of USA citizens do not have a problem with lying under oath and consorting with the enemy?

I am greatfully elaited that Bush won.
I am glad that the liberals were put in their place(but it won't help them one bit)
I am extremely impressed with the people with sound minds here on freerepublic that have given me hope. Thanks to all of you! I am a newby to free republic and if anything, I think this election has woken up so many of us to not take this libral crap laying down.
Thanks and looking forward to the future.

The LEFT did not lose, at all.

President Bush won, we won, they won.

Had Kerry won, Bush lost, we would feel lost, and the LEFT would have lost, because America as a nation, with it's freedoms, would eventually turn into a second rate power cowtowing to the UN, susceptible to every angry terrorist.
EVERYONE WOULD LOSE, except KERRY.

Oh yeah, Kerry would have tried, but he doesn't have the 'game' skills President Bush has, the resolve, and the committment.

I saw a show the night before the elections showcasing BUSH and KERRY's Careers.

As Governor, he had to decide on an appeal for a stay of execution of a woman in Texas.

Giving her 30 days (for who knows what) extension would have pleased his constituents and the media (who publicized this to use against him, because he won over a DEM in the first place).

Everyone would understand him staying the execution, accept it.

But, George Bush walked on stage, made his statement, denying a stay, explained why, then walked off the stage, as the audience sat stunned.

WHY? Because, it was the law. There was no justifiable reason to give the stay. It was the right thing to do, but it was the hard, and the seemingly uncompassionate thing that he knew he must do, if he wanted to follow the law, and his sense of right and wrong.

Even though he knew it could ruin his career as Governor, and any future hopes for office.

Would Kerry have done the same? I doubt it. He would have granted the stay instantly, if he felt the media and public wanted it, regardless to the futility of it.

President Bush stated after 9/11 EXACTLY what he and this nation and it's forces would do. He got everyone's permission. Everyone was on his side.

He walked that path, and would not waver. The Media, the DEMS turned away from the path, didn't have the stomach for it. Too weak, too worried, too busy, too concerned for what they would get out of things, rather than what we had to do as a country TOGETHER, or we would fail as a country.

But President Bush, and his staff, and the military, and supporters, FREE REPUBLIC, RUSH LIMBAUGH, WEATHERED THE STORM with this man, and stayed on the path.

That is the type of person I want as President.
That is why he was re-elected. FIRM CONVICTIONS and MORALS that cannot be swayed by trying to "PLEASE THE PUBLIC".

I don't want a President that tries to KISS MY ASS. I want one that is willing to KICK SOME ASS.

Libs lost. Mostly that the least credible candidate (including Dukakis) I can remember got tanked.

Bush is great on terrorism and taxes, I've got a sick feeling every time I look at domestic spending.
