Conservatives need to start looking forward just 4 years and start thinking about who will run against Hillary in 2008.
Allowing that creature to win will undermine this nation worse than the 8 years she had puppeteering through Bubba.
Suggestions for a candidate/team?
I really want to support Rudi. I wish he wasn't pro-abortion.
I've heard some talk about Mitt Romney - governor in Massachusetts. Not exactly the most conservative guy...but I guess Bush isn't either.
I doubt he'll win the GOP Primary, but I'm sure Senator Rick Santorum (R) PA, will be running...
I think this is topic #179 on the subject.
i think Romney, Owens, McCain and maybe Pataki will go for it
VP i see Jeb Bush, Condi, or Rudy
also heard something about Santorum but cant be sure on that one
Condi is more of a cabinet type. I don't think she's into campaigning, but she seems rather popular.
I just took down my Bush/Cheney sign. I decided to store it until 2008--just in case.
Jebb/Lynn 2008
At this point, I would venture to say the answer is "none of the above" (not who we're thinking)...
Some fresh faces can emerge in four years. I'd like to get a look at the new crop of Republican governors.
Rudy will be the man.
Rick Santorum!
The majority of this country wants somebody with some moral backbone. This elections shows it.
Just wondering- Can Cheney run for VP again in 2008?
Another candidate from MA in '08, but this one a conservative republican: Mitt Romney. He's the real deal here, although completely shackled by the dems in the house and senate. Guliani/Romney ticket would be heavy Northeast, but both have the positive name recognition it would take.
LAURA 2008!!!!!!!!
General Franks
vp JC Watts
Frist doesn't exicte me. But damn this guy knows how to win.
This should be the ticket, and some social conservatives like myself have to sort of hold their nose:
Giuliani/Santorum.
They put two northern states in play, win the south, and voila, we beat Hillary.
Alternatively, George Allen and Bill Owens and Frist are all running. Frist is a non-starter, no personality. The other two would also be good, but remember, it's all about the EV's. We gotta find a way to pick up a state or two.
Giuliani/Santorum does that.
Duncan Hunter or Tom Tancredo. I am sick of RINO's!!!
What about Schwarzkopf???!!
Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa) (maybe for VP but definitely presidential material)
