Anyone see Blair just now? Was he okay?

He almost seemed like he was about to cry at one point and he left really abruptly...

If Tony gave up his addiction to Orwellian Government then I would consider voting for him. We *badly* need to reduce Govt in Britain before we go over the tipping point.

I agree with you. He is a man of integrity and will stay the course. But if Kerry had won, he might have had more wiggle room. Just a thought. I have great respect for Blair, even if I don't like his socialist policies.

We need MadIvan to check in and give us his opinion as to what was going on. I think Blair and Bush have a very close friendship, but his country pretty much hates Bush and he has his own election coming up. He looked tired to me and maybe that is all it was.

He did look a little weird...

Isn't he having heart problems? Didn't he have heart surgery just this past month?

That reminds me of the time my wife used that blue-colored kids squeeze margarine to make macaroni and cheese.

It tasted just fine, but OH MY GOD.

read ...politics as usual of course...but bottom line..Blair has been courageous in his stand in Iraq and support of Bush there. Seems to me theres a common ground in the stance of the two men...staying the course regardless of polls. thats leadership!

I saw it and it was more or less the way he normally gives prepared speeches. We all have to admit though that Tony Blair put his entire political future on the line for us. We owe this guy big time. His wife I don't care for, but I have a lot of respect for Tony Blair himself.

I saw a little bit of it and his voice was shaky. Didn't see the end of the press conference and notice if he cried or not but I've got to say I think Tony's been steadfast in support of the war on terror and with the situation in Iraq-he agreed to have British soldiers relocated to a more dangerous area to cover our troops. Can't really say he hasn't been supportive.

Who's that tall chick in the back with the dark hair?

That's George Clooney.

And no, I am not joking.

(Clooney's ultralib father lost his bid to become a Congressman yesterday. Like father, like son.)
