In probably the most poignant moment I have ever heard on talk radio, a retired Marine was weeping on the Dennis Prager show this morning.
He was choking on tears when he told Dennis that Dennis had been doing the Lord's work. Then, he asked Dennis if this finally meant that the Vietnam veterans had been vindicated. He could barely get that out. Dennis assured him that such was indeed the case.
Finally, these brave men who gave so much and were trashed by a traitor have been welcomed home.
Dennis admitted that he cried twice today in great relief that our country has been saved. The South and the values of Middle America made the difference. He went on to say that the North once saved our Union; now the South will save it.
This was the most important election of my lifetime. No matter how old you are, it is probably the same with you.
This one was for you Willis. S/Sgt. Special Forces - 4 years POW - R.I.P. 17 Jan 2004 - We did it!
Yep, I'll be wired in for the replay...and it's a good excuse to repost the notice:
Go to http://www2.krla870.com/listen/ after 12:00 Pacific, and the show will be archived. About 75- 90 minutes into the show.
We should have a parade, well overdue, honoring our Viet Nam soldiers. We should do it simultaneously with a recall initiative from Massachusetts to remove this empty suit of a senator, poor example of a vet and dishonorable traitor from his civil service job which he barely shows up for.
God bless all the Vietnam vets.""
In addition to booting sKerry out of his Senate seat, I would like to see a Navy inquiry and trial for Treason against sKerry. I do not think there is any statute of limitations on Treason. He needs to be indicted and prosecuted and put into prison for the rest of his life. Having him inside the Senate and on various committees, such as Intelligence (what an oxymoron that is) is beyond the pale for me.
Thanks for what you have done for our country, airborne.
So GW is inviting the Swifties to the WH for a lovely dinner, right? Right!
No, W won't be doing it. As much as the RATS lied about it, the SwiftVets had nothing to do with his campaign. It was a total independent effort because of what Kerry had done to them. It was both payback and saving this country.
Super Huge, Love-in-Christ driven BUMP
doug, I hope that Daily Recycler gets this one in their library - reading it gave me the chills like I had when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour.
God bless all the Vietnam vets.
What a great idea. They deserve it.
Welcome home, Vietname Veterans! We LOVE you!
I wonder if KRLA or Dennis could make a WAV or MP3 file available.
Maybe the FreeRepublic inaugural ball in DC on Jan. 20 can be the venue to honor the SwiftVets and all the Vietnam vets.
oh crap, now I'm tearing up
You're not the only one.
I am an old Viet Nam boy. I couldn't sleep last night, got out of bed at 10 PM, did not get to sleep until after 6 AM. Had to watch.
I have never, ever, been more proud to be an American. We have done a wonderful thing against great opposition, against the Forces of Darkness themselves. My everlasting gratitude to you all.
I was saddened and ashamed for the way this great nations treated it V.N. vets upon their.
Never had the nerve to go to Washington and visit the WALL, as I was sure that I would break down seeing all those names of the truely brave men and women.
Now I have the honor to say, "Wecome true and brave heros, well done and God bless all of you and may the grace of God be with you always".
They're all talk show addicts and passionate about their conservative beliefs. WE have two little seven-year-old greatgrandsons who are hopelessly addicted. They stood for hours to get to see President Bush and ate up every minute of it.
Lad, this is a mighty victory. Hell itself could not prevail. Emotion is called for. God is with us, still.
This old Viet Nam boy is proud to be your Countryman.
Dude you're gonna make me cry
