Who will be the Presidental Nonimee in 2008 since Dick Cheney propably won't run. I know this is early..
Bill Owens, Colorado governor.
He'll win, too.
It worked for the first President Bush. Besides, numerous Democrats who were pro-life on a state level, such as Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Dick Gephardt, and Jesse Jackson, became pro-abortion when developing a national constituency.
Yep, he was real successful wasn't he?
Rudy would be just as successful at convincing Red state voters that he is conservative.
Mitt Romney.
Listen, although Bush is very public in his condemnation of partial birth abortion, even he tiptoes around the issue of early term abortion. That matter has replaced social security as the third rail of American politics. By 2008 I hope partial birth abortion will be outlawed and removed as an issue and if Rudy just adopts a similar tiptoe posture on the rest of it, he will be fine.
Rice vs Clinton 2008
Got a CrushHillary.com yet?
Now that would be a contest...
Why have you left out Dr. Condi Rice?
McCain.
At 72 -- he will ejoy Regan like popularity. Also -- he is pro-life -- which will solve the problem that many other big names have.
I know he is not popular here -- but I think he will win outright.
The GOP needs to get ahead of this curve. I'm predicting Rudy v Hillary for 2008.
I don't know if a Senator could win. Case in point Bob Dole and John Kerry... I think who ever is Govenor or the new VP (I think Cheney is going to leave in a couple of years), will be the nominee. Personally I hope it is Owens. I like what I hear about him. I don't think Jeb will run...
Since she's called herself a "pro-choice evangelical," no way.
You may believe it's there, but it ain't.
Because she has publicly expressed that she has no interest in the presidency. She would much rather be the Commissioner of Major League Baseball.
I was in Cayuhoga County OH for three days. Many of the other volunteers were ready to nominate Giuliani yesterday.
Where'd ya get that?
I believe having a Conservative Black Woman, Dr. Rice, on the 08 ticket would a great draw for both women and blacks, making the democrats crazy!
GULIANI IS A NEW YORK LIBERAL WHOSE ONLY REDEEMING CHARACTERISTIC IS THAT HE IS/WAS TOUGH ON CRIME.
Why in the world would you think that the folks in flyover country would bother to go to the polls for an out and out liberal and an adulterer to boot?
I notice that a good many profound thinkers have rooting for their favorite NFL team confused with political analysis.
I don't care how many street hoods are on your favorite NFL team, but principles should have a premier place in your political choices.
pro-abort gop nominee will not win. try again.
