An Indonesian Muslim youth watches a television coverage of the US elections in front of a portrait of Osama bin Laden (news - web sites) at a Islam youth movement headquarters in Jakarta. The US presidential race lurched toward the chaos of 2000 with President George W. Bush (news - web sites) grabbing a firm lead, Democrat John Kerry (news - web sites) refusing to concede and no official winner immediately in sight.(AFP/Dewira) |

Because the President, unlike most of us, has the good sense to be getting some sleep. :)

I wanted to slap Brit Hume...he made me sick. Hume attended a private D.C. boys prep school with John Kerry. They're old chums.

**Can't even get a copy of your birth certificate without all kinds of ID now, voter cards for all, end of problem!**
That is what we do in the UK. We all registered with our local council and each election whether it be general or local elections a card is sent out which you take the polling station which is mentioned on the card. You don't actually have to take the card with you but your name is on a list and is crossed off if you name is not on the list you do not get a voting slip.
Is there any reason why in the US that it could not work the same way.

**Andy Card said this morning that the SOS had told them that even with the uncounted votes that it is statistically impossible for Kerry to win Ohio.**
The Chief of Staff would not have claimed victory without these figures.

It's the ultimate dis. The president was NOT losing sleep over this, and didn't need to stay up all night for a foregone conclusion. He's... OUR PRESIDENT FOR ANOTHER 4 YEARS. YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

She thinks they should wait for CBS to declare them victors. So if they don't admit it, it isn't the truth? She gives cBS too much clout. She is so out-of-the-loop she doesn't know that her precious network sold out and everyone knows it. Zero credibility.

FOX stank. They swallowed the Kool-Aid last night True! They went waaay overboard in trying to appear "fair & balanced." Juan Williams is tolerable, but Susan "Ostrich" needs to go! However, their voting analyst was top notch.

Conservative estimate. I can see a possibility (albeit slim) that once absentee ballots come in we could also get New Hampshire (4), Pennsylvania (21), and Wisconsin (10) could still flip to being red states. That pushes the possible total to 321.
I'm willing to declare victory for Martinez in FL, and, based on absentee ballots, Murkowski in AL. I'm not willing to concede Coors in CO until the absentees come in. That could potentially be another 2 seats gained in the Senate.

I wanted to slap Brit Hume...he made me sick. Brit and FNC were the only ones to admit the exit polls they were given were screwed up and wasn't matching the votes coming in

"Kerry cannot mathematically win Ohio"
Kerry cannot mathematically walk and chew gum, his only real ability, which is enormous, is the ability to marry money.

Todd says the biggest surprise for him was Bush's "huge popular vote, that's a big mandate..." So, Kerry didn't win the popular vote or the Electoral vote? The man is dookie, no matter how the MSM and Hollywood tried to dress him up! That blackmail attempt from Osama bin Laden was the last straw!
I hope our Veterans and the POWs in Heaven are rejoicing as much as we are down here!
