If you compare the LP to Al Qaeda one more time, people will be sure your dementia has completely set in.

Second, you're unable to understand the role any third party plays in politics. I think you've heard plenty of explanation. But you just want things to fit nicely into that big hollow area between your ears, and they simply don't in this case. Your little mind is blown by the fact that a third party had an impact on an election and not in the way you wanted. Why? Because you simply don't care about the issue. Porkbarrel politics isn't important to you. And it is very important to many of us.

Al Qaeda loved France. Until the headscarf thing, then France was the ultimate enemy. Why did they attack us on 9/11. The #1 reason was that the US was *gasp* on Saudi soil at the pleading of the Saud family.

The truth is, they hate and are jealous of the West and will make up any reason to oppose us (later Osama saw the utility of blaming Israel.

The LP is the same way. They don't care what the reason is, they make it up. They want to defeat Republicans. That's it. And they don't care who they hurt in the process.

Answer me this: the LP is widely credited with costing Slate Gorton (sp?) the election in WA, giving us two of the most moronic Senators from Washington. How many small government small-l libertarians have been elected to statewide office in Washington?
