If our state does NOT elect Gregoire, I'll do away with my "Washington: The tri-bi*** state" poster/sticker idea.

The willing tools of the left strike again in Washington state. The only difference between the LP and the Democrats here is the Dems are honest about who and what they are.
To: DameAutour
what did the libertarians gain here?An inflated, artificial sense of importance.

Rossi was up by six this morning in the polls. He had a really great chance. If the Losertarians screwed this one up the way they did the Gorton/Cantwell race, there isn't a Republican in this state that will ever forgive them. If they think this is going to make us "listen" to them, they can just shake off THAT dream.
To: DameAutour
what did the libertarians gain here? Clout. Now both major parties are going to go out of their way to court the smaller-government voters, so this sort of thing is less likely to happen next time.

Aren't there absentees yet to be counted? Don't absentees typically break GOP (except in Can't-Vote-Very-Well's case)?

LOL! Last election the Washington state LP threw a U.S. Senate seat to the democrats. The LP some how believes it's a victory anytime they help elect a liberal Democrat. Look at their own press releases this year...they openly said they were campaigning to defeat President Bush and sank millions of dollars into their efforts to defeat the President in critical, close swing states.
The LP isn't conservative.

Stuff the LP itself, but it tells the GOP that there is a segment of the voting public that they need to move towards. GOP has become too nanny-statist or the LP wouldn't get so big a vote.

Not always. Last time there wasn't sufficient gains to get beyond the LP spoiler vote. Looks like Soros actually got something back for his money this time.

No way, it's a segment of the public that they need to educate voters on.
To: CWOJackson
Educate them to accept more nanny statism? Mais non.
To: DaughterOfAnIwoJimaVet
ROTFLMAO - uh, NO. What, you think the two major parties will just repeat the same mistakes again?

LOL! No, to realize that the LP is nothing more then bought and paid for tools of the left who try and pass themselves off as what they aren't.
