BP to answer questions about planned terminal
GALVESTON BP Energy aims to ease public concerns about the safety of a proposed liquefied natural gas terminal on Pelican Island at an open house Wednesday.
Also at the open house, the London-based energy giant said it would have experts on hand to answer questions about the economic and environmental effects of the gas terminal, called BP Bay Crossing.
BP wants to build a liquefied natural gas, or LNG, terminal on a 185-acre tract on the northeast corner of Pelican Island. The terminal would be about two miles from Texas A&M Universitys campus, three miles from downtown Galveston and very near the Texas City Ship Channel.
