OPINION-SPECULATION: Maybe they don't like be traced, tracked, id'd and arrested.
They may feel that they are under greater surveillance and are trying to lower their profile as well as not leave any evidence. Potential for super secret key stroke recording software on the cafe computers (under justice/judge orders) to copy any messages being transmitted, especially if serious jihadi's are hanging out there.
