The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

Al-Jazeera TV: A new Osama Bin Laden Video? - UPDATE

Late yesterday afternoon we began to get reports in from sources expressing pure anonymity that Al-Jazeera Television is currently in possession of two new Bin Laden Videos. Our source a Journalist overseas with direct contacts into the Al-Jazeera organization has indicated that Al-Jazeera TV was instructed to air one of these videos following the results of the US Elections.

Our source indicated that one of these videos expresses Osama Bin Laden issuing "Congratulations" to Senator Kerry, while the other tape portrays Osama issuing "A clear Threat and Warning" to the United States for re-electing President Bush.

As soon as we began to hear these reports, we immediately contacted Al-Jazeera Television. Our phone calls were ignored for a good portion of the evening until finally we got through. Al-Jazeera is keeping "whatever they have" very hush hush. They haven't confirmed or denied these initial reports of having another Osama Bin Laden video. While these reports may end up leading nowhere, one does not find it hard to conceive that Osama Bin Laden may believe it is in his best interest to warn the United States for not following his "Message to the People" Speech.

If Al-Jazeera were instructed to air this new tape, one would likely see it aired on the popular Arabic News Commentary show, "Today's Harvest". This show airs late night during Ramadan and is roughly around 4:00 PM EST in the United States.

While it is not clear and concise as to who won the election, it is safe to assume that President Bush has won re-election. If Osama truly wants to back up his word of "Leaving the security of the States in their own hands", then it isn't hard to believe that Osama may have already given another tape to Al-Jazeera TV expressing his new feelings towards the US for re-electing the President.

Whether or not Al-Jazeera TV is actually in possession of a new video is still up in the air. Our sources tell us they are, and Al-Jazeera hasn't denied it yet. If this story develops, we'll keep you updated.

Thanks Velveeta. Now this is starting to really give me pause- knowing how OBL/OBL standin views justifying attacks on the US in "religious terms."

I am wondering if OBL (or whomever) will now say that it is clear that the US chose to go with Bush- who created such havoc for the Muslim lands, so now his only choice is to retaliate.....saying he gave us a chance to save ourselves- blah blah blah. That would fit with the scenario of having the Muslims in the mosques Friday prayers when they decide to go ahead. Just speculating.

Even though there was an implied red/blue state threat I still feel they will hit where they feel they have the best chance of success.

Example, I'm embarrassed to say I live in a blue state (Washington). We all know Seattle is thick with muslims and mosques as well as being close to Vancouver, B.C., another islamic hot-bed.

Portland, Oregon, another blue state, is IMO even more liberal (blue) but is also thick as thieves with mosques, etc. We all remember the Portland Six.

I personally don't take the "state" threat literally. I feel they will hit, wherever they can, hoping to effect America as a whole as "payback" for re-electing the Honorable President Bush.

You are probably correct but given the lack of overall context (who knows what this DUer has posted prior to this) and the possibility of some sort of radical collusion might exist I thought it best to catalogue it here for future reference and research...remember Pelosi(she heads up the progressive socialist caucus in the democratic party) met with high level HAMAS leadership back in August.

If those tapes of obl pan out, you need to post it in it's own thread! Wow! Who knows what we were spared in this country by reelecting President Bush? I can picture skerry trying to give obl some legitimacy, and perhaps a 'place at the table.'

Well, if the story about 2 new OBL tapes is true- one welcoming Kerry and one condemning us for electing Bush- and apparently stating that our punishment is thus now justified----I would look for their planned "hit" on the US to come about fairly soon.

If the rumors are true, Al Jazeera should soon be broadcasting the new OBL tape/video/whatever.

P.S. I notice it is still all about the demodimwits to the lamestream press. They are pathetic and most of them just don't get it. I only heard one cnn guy go to the heart of the matter after midnight last evening: it's about values, stupid. I have heard maybe one other liberal leaning pundit voice the same sentiment today.

Yet rather than see the truth of this, the lamestream media keeps asking what they/dems did wrong, not what is it that GWB does right.

If another tape is going to be played today on the same programme we'll know in 20 minutes, as the programme starts at 3pm EST according to Sky.
