Yup, Senator Edwards speaks. SoreLoserman II begins tonight, but I'm not waiting!
Congratulations President Bush!!
It's all over but the crying for the SoreLosermen!!
And now it's time for us to start planning the Free Republic George W. Bush Inaugural Ball II!
I've had Kristinn checking venues and prices and we're in the process of getting a proposal from the Wyndham City Center Hotel in Washington, DC (the other Wyndham that we used last time is already booked).
The costs have more than doubled from our first ball, so we're estimating the price per person will have to be in the neighborhood of $175 per person. We'll also have to move fast on this. We'll need to make a quick decision as soon after the elections results are official as we possibly can and then we'll need to quickly raise the funds to put up the required deposit.
So, here's the question: Are you ready for an Inaugural Ball?
If so, please post here if you plan to attend and how many will be in your party.
Thank you all very much and hope to see you in DC on January 20th!!
By the way, everyone told us last time that the Free Republic Ball was the best one in town and it was half the price or less than all the others. I suspect that this Ball will also be the best in town and at $175 will still be priced less than any other!
Thank you for the Info..Others have said we need to call our congressman. That's why I was confused but I want to go with the Freepers!!
BYW, I've posted on other threads because I don't want to just do a vanity on this question..Maybe you know...How can I get email address for Bush 41...I want to send them congratulations for their wonderful family...Their library doesn't have any posted..
Tickets for the FReeper Ball will be handled through FR.
Any word on what hotel it will be held in? I want to book a hotel now, and if possible want to stay as close as possible because of trouble last time round getting a taxi.
It looks like it'll be at the Wyndham City Center, 1143 New Hampshire Avenue, NW. (near M Street and 21st Street.) We're waiting on the paperwork.
Are there any plans for a VN vets' unit in the Inaugural Parade? There should be - the election was their last battle.
This sounds like way too much fun...I'm so ready!...I've never done anything this exciting..Well, let's say this ranks right up to the top of lifetime experiences ;) After, wedding day, childbirth,...nevermind, on second thought this has moved to #1 on my greatest lifetime hits!
"Wyndham City Center"
When can we make reservations? Will there be a list of other hotels posted? details? Where to send money?
who is organizing this? I am in for 2 tix definitely, possibly 3. when is payment needed and who does it go to?
Exit, if you want to carpool, let me know. I'm planning on leaving Weds night. we can sit together. Are table assigments by state or there are none?
If there is going to be a ping list, let me know. I need all of the info asap to cover being off from work and getting coveragfe for the kids. I'm down for 2 definites, possibly 3. I'll probably opt for a Hampton Inn.
Do we know the HOST hotel yet?
ALso, been checking, there are tons of hotels up and down the RED Line that Parallels pretty much Wisconsin Ave.
Got a room in Bethesda, only 5 miles away...

We'll be able to answer your questions definitively once the contract is set. We're trying to move as quickly as possible to get this set so FReepers can make their travel plans.
Thanks kristinn for the hard work and update. I hope to be able to add 2 to the total.
