I really didn't expect Keyes to win this one. I wonder if he did, or was he being a good soldier? It appears the Ill. GOP has some work ahead it them.

Ok, is it me, but assuming Bush wins presidency, did the Dims just get swept AGAIN???

Net gains in House and Senate as well?

Well ... there are good soldiers and there are good soldiers.

I think Keyes is a "good soldier" on behalf of the GOP in the same way there are plenty who find it the best shot they've got to make the biggest difference somehow.

I still suspect -- hope anyway -- that the real reason Keyes soldiers on is because he wears the armor of Christ and knows well that he cannot do wrong by speaking the truth.

He's always going to be a "Loser" but I suspect that when his Maker does a recount ... factoring in the consciences he's sparked and the souls he's stirred to life and the minds who've enjoyed a moment's clarity for a change ... he'll be a winner in the long run.

I'd be very surprised if that weren't the case. Truth will out.
