XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX TUE NOV 02, 2004 09:06:35 ET XXXXX

UPDATE: VOTES 'FOUND ON MACHINES' IN PHILLY BEFORE POLLS OPEN

Before voting even began in Philadelphia -- Republican poll watchers believed they found nearly 2000 votes already planted on machines scattered in heavy-minority locations throughout the city.

Republican poll watchers claim:

One incident occurred at the SALVATION ARMY, 2601 N. 11th St., Philadelphia, Pa: Ward 37, division 8.

Pollwatchers uncovered 4 machines with planted votes; one with over 200 and one with nearly 500...

A second location, 1901 W. Girard Ave., Berean Institute, Philadelphia, Pa, had 300+ votes already on 2 machines at start of day.

ANOTHER INCIDENT: 292 votes on machine at start of day; WARD/DIVISION: 7/7: ADDRESS: 122 W. Erie Ave., Roberto Clemente School, Philadelphia, Pa..

ANOTHER: 456 votes on machine at start of day; WARD/DIVISION: 12/3; ADDRESS: 5657 Chew Ave., storefront, Philadelphia, Pa...

The Kerry Campaign says reports of votes already on machines are 'false.'

"Serious news will not appear first on the DRUDGE gossip website," senior Kerry adviser Joe Lockhart told reporters.

Officially, election officials explain the discrepancy is being caused by a number showing how many times various machines have been used.

But officials could not explain why used machines in other locations were reportedly 'clean.'

Elsewhere, a gun was purposely made visible to scare poll watchers at Ward 30, division 11, at 905 S. 20th St., Grand Court. Police were called and quickly surrounded the location...

Developing...

I've said it before, I'll say it again. The Bush administration needs to bring in the FBI.

From WJR-AM:

Some Commotion Being Reported at Some Polling Spots in Michigan

Some voters across the state have complained to the Michigan Secretary of State's office about an organization calling itself MoveOn.Org.

(November 2) – The group apparently has been asking that special tables be setting up at polling places while wearing t-shirts and arm bands that seem to support John Kerry for president.

This would be in violation of election law.

Secretary of State Spokeswoman Kelley Chesney says the groups have been told to turn all shirts and armbands inside out and to behave themselves: “We’re instructing our local clerks that if they have problems in the polling places, and there are watchers there or challengers there that are disrupting the process, that they have every right to expel them from the polling place.”

Chesney says any actions that upset voters will not be tolerated.

Not surprised by what the Dems are doing here.....the auto companies give the line workers the day off to vote, and they still want the polls open so they can drag people to the polls because they don't like their numbers. I still have hope Bush can win Michigan, but it's fading fast.

Just within the last 15 minutes, I rec'd a pre-recorded phone call from ''America Coming Together'' directed towards college students. (Ilive in Wisconsin.) The msg went something like this: There are reports of Republican poll watchers preventing college students from voting.... Something about not being intimidated & talking to the Dem poll watcher stationed at the polling place. Also, be sure to tell your friends around the dormitory... I didn't listen to the entire msg

Grellis, a MI FReeper reported that her ballot, along with two neighbors who all voted straight R, had their ballots marked before going into the final machine. She said that the worker looked at her ballot, stripped off the top strip (normal in MI) then inserted the strip with her ballot.
She contacted the authorities.

The Demoncrats will never be able to counter the MASSIVE Republican turnout with voter fraud. Not this time. Not ever again.

Take a deep breath and repeat after me -- Bush wins easily.

These people wore brown shirts in the 1930's. Law enforcement can't look the other way.

4 years ago I talked my sister in Grosse Pte. to have an election day party which we all know was never resolved for many weeks.

My niece's husband newly relocated from Ft. worth TX had the unpleasant experience in voting in an east side detroit precinct.

He waited over 3 1/2 hours to vote (God bless him) and observed bus loads of elderly people being dropped off.

Throughout the crowd there were UAW folks handing out literature and even inside the building just as you enter the area where the booths and registration are held they were handing out "DETAILED PAMPHLETS" to the voters whereas all you had to do was place such pamphlet over the butterfly ballot box and follow the instructions on the pamphlet.

He brought one of these to the party and they were complete with photos on who to vote for and who not to vote for!

The company I work for has a plant on Connor and Charlevoix in Detroit and I know all the UAW guys on both committee and shop.

They admit that that is what they do on election day. Provide transportation, literature and whatever else is necessary to insure an overwhelming support for the democratic party!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds to me like this year that common practice is now being challenged. I for one would not wish to be a Poll watcher in the area stated above without proper CCW protection however existing laws would prohibit me from carrying around that school.......

They know the Republicans come out after work.
Watch for Ohio to get screwy soon if the exit polls swing widely for Bush. They do this every year.

My son goes to his township hall to vote. They tell him he's not on the rolls (even tho in MI when you get your drivers license, you registrer to vote) and he can vote next year.

NOT A MENTION OF A PROVISIONAL BALLOT!

fast forward to very ticked off mom, local repub party NOT ANSWERING THEIR PHONES (they should be there to answer these questions), so I have to call downstate, to the state party offices, to get the info I knew I needed: he is supposed to go back there and tell them to give him provisional ballot.

We'll be doing a little rockin and rollin on the election workers and the local GOP. This vote was so important to him! Thank goodnesss for cell phones, the net and FreeRepublic!!

Kelly Chesney, spokeswoman for Michigan Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land, said several local election clerks complained about MoveOn.Org, saying its representatives wanted tables at polling places. The organization, she said, also wanted voters redirected in some cases so they passed in front of MoveOn.Org representatives.
