According to several reputable sources, the Allegheny County GOP HQ in Pittsburgh just had lost power. Because the office building at 125 Seventh Street is without power, telephones, computers, and other office machines are unusable, a huge blow to Bush supporters hoping to remain competitive tonight in this key area of the country.
While it is still not clear the cause of this electrical problem, politics could potentially be a factor.
The Democrat Headquarters across the street and other surrounding buildings are said to be with power...
I bet it was caused by a Bush Surge...
The demonrats are worse than the Taliban...
Which is why God invented CELLPHONES! And if they didn't see something like that coming ...
Y'all forget that these are multi-phone banks that usually run on an integrated system--which requires power. If you have 18 lines running into a single system, when power goes out, usually you get one line on just plain phone power. If you're lucky and you have a single-line phone around to use it (most of the time every phone in the office is a multiline type).
We had this problem in a 3-line office. We had to keep a single-line answering machine in case the power flickered and the main system box's built-in power strip tripped.
It's 6:15 Eastern time. Do you know if they have power again? My sister, daughter, and other family and friends live there. I called a few, they didn't know about it at 3:30. Any news?
Power was reported out at 3:30 (PM, EST) down here ...
Hasn't it been fixed yet?
No, I assume everything's o.k. I looked for a news update about this, but see nothing about the pittsburgh office. There are some odd reports about problems at the polling place with GOP voters not showing up on the rolls, but nothing about the mysterious power outage.
I just called 7:24pm there time now. I was told that they were back up.
I am going to need medical attention for my middle finger if I stay here much longer. I have flipped off so many scumbags that I can't count them. I'm all for free speech, just don't scream in my face... oh, and you should look into taking a bath you filthy, Kerry punks.
I am going to close & pay $22 for a room service burger. At $22 it is still cheaper than going back on the streets & punching someone.
Geez, that sounds extreme. I think you should paste this into a vanity post. People need to be made aware of this. Also send an e-mail to the national review blog. Pennsylvania is the battleground this year.
