Did anyone else see this? Am I reading too much into his words and body language? I realize he's been up most of the night and is understandably tired, but to say the country will move on no matter what seemed surprisingly defeatist. Couple that with his pollster Mellman's glum prediction, and you really have to wonder whether his top advisors gave him the bad news this morning.

plus, his remarks about "people sharing their inner struggles with him along the campaign trail" sounds more like a concession speech than an encouragement to get out and vote.

I saw it and immediately felt that they knew they were going to lose. THK looked quite sad and his daughters had on a "brave smile". He didn't act confident at all.

I said to my wife last night that I thought Kerry had no idea what was going on. Just being rushed from one spot to another, the bad news being kept away. This morning a dose of reality.

Well the Bush's have been up and on the go forever as well but...they look refreshed, crisp, happy and smiling. As I always say it's what's INSIDE your heart that shows on your face.
