Put info and links about Texas here.
Ditto
Cool and rainy at 7:10 am in LaWard, Texas. Voter #17, wife voter #13. No signs, poll-pushers. We have a son in the Marines(already called a baby killer in malls, THANKS stolen honor man) and do not support infanticide as practiced by some "doctors" in this country.
I'm about to go report for poll watcher duty in Oak Cliff. I'll try to do my part to get you the 32nd. Of course, I want to see Noah's flood so nobody else in the precinct shows up.
Yeehaaa ping
Been votin in this town for 18 years, never seen a turnout like this before
DH and I sent in our absentee ballots about 2 weeks ago. Doing our part for Texas and the popular vote. (God bless America, and God save the Republic)
Big snow in South Plains area. The roads are not bad in Lubbock, but further north, in rural areas, some roads are in bad shape according to local weather reports. This could have some effect on the Neugabauer vs. Stenholm race. But, I suspect that Neugabauer will still win by double digits. Last poll Neugabauer was up 56-37 with 5% undecided. MOE at 4%.
Did they let her vote?
I voted early (see tagline) but there was a HISD (Houston) special election that did not make the main ballot for some idiotic reason. There were probably 100-150 people in line to vote for the main election and counting me there were two people in line for the HISD election. I've never seen the polls so crowded. Hopefully Bush will win not only the EC but the popular vote by a large margin.
The yard signs in my small neighborhood near H-Town have Bush/Cheney leading Kerry/Edwards 15-6.
Ha! I told my husband the same thing as we were looking for the new polling place. I don't know if the county is supposed to let you know when the polling site moves or if we're just supposed to find out ourselves. It was more of an annoyance than anything else. =)
It was a beautiful cool morning in Spring Branch (north of San Antonio), although a little muddy from last night's rain. Voted at 7:30 AM at the local VFD. About 50 people in line on last names starting with A-J, fortunately I am a K-Z, so it only took about 10 minutes. Go GWB!
i voted this morning. straight republican ticket. for the 20th year in a row ( except for my vote against ron paul in 1996 , i think ). took about 2 minutes.
Wife and I voted at 9:45 A.M. in Waxahachie, pct. 111. About a 20 minute wait. Everything smooth, so far as I could tell. The line had increased about 50 percent as we departed. I guess the lunch crew was beginning to show up.
can you pick up kfyo 790 am (rush)? I cannot.
Weather: overcast, light rain
Turnout: Heavy!
This, in a county where all local offices and state legislators are Republican. There were actually more Libertarians on the my ballot than Democrats. The only contested race will be for Congress (TX-17), which an incumbent Dem is favored to win.
Still, turnout is heavy...
Voted last Friday, heavy turnout, about a 30 minute wait. I always enjoy voting in Texas because there are more Libertarians on the ballot than Democrats.
Just came from my local polling place...
Voted for President Bush and anyone that had an `R` by their name !
4 MORE YEARS !!!
very weak signal and lots of static, but I can pick it up
listen to 950 in houston. you might need a large antenna if you're in lubbock, though. please go vote, and cancel my insane father's vote.
950 here is fox radio. i'd need a HUGE (hugh) ANTENNA LOL. I voted early in the sunshine.
