I Think I Just Prevented Voter Fraud
Eepsy | 11-2-2004 | Eepsy

I live in a swing state, registered two months ago, and recieved my registration card one month ago.

Just this Friday I received a second registration card made out to the lady I bought my house from three years ago. I'd never gotten one in other elections. This lady is a teacher, by the by, who moved several towns away, out of county, even, I think.

I mailed the card back, but, fearing it wouldn't have been recieved mentioned it to a poll worker.

She was quite surprised, and took out a sheet of yellow paper. It had four or five names and signatures on it, and among them was my "phantom boarder", with her signature clearly above MY address. I'm not sure what this short list was. I think it was people with iffy registration or late ones.

I can't wait for this woman to show up at the polls. The workers were very nice, took my number, and promised to call if she did. I sincerely hope she does show and gets charged with voter fraud.

I would go back and find out what that sheet is for, and see if they did anything about it, then reprt the information to any and all that can prevent that vote from being counted, if its still possible.

Good Job!! Call the vote fraud number, though with your story as well.

Big Mistake. You just doubled the opportunity for the 'Rats to correct their mistake; the mail carrier, postal workers and even "impartial" election employees then had the opportunity to "correct" their mistake.

I would have mailed a copy of the card back and another copy to my local newspaper, and delivered the original card to the local Republican headquarters.

Too bad but that means she's voted and gone off to the next site.

But at least one vote will be cancelled, and we now have a sample of her handwriting. That should generate some sleepless nights. Assuming there is a penalty attached.

Maybe I should check my hubby's briefcase to see if it's still there. He's not the most conscientious when it come to remembering to run errands.

a disclosure form is required that is signed by the owner and broker that gives a complete picture of the condition of the property. If your state has that and the owner lied in the disclosure, you have recourse.

Subject to the statute of limitations?

I think an intersting sign to hold up at a precinct sign zone would be one that say "VOTE FRAUD IS A FELONY"

If I understand it correctly she hasn't voted yet. It could just be government employees not in any hurry to clear out the registration lists.

I received a jury duty summons at an old address many years after I had moved out. They got the address from the voter roles which should have been updated when I registered at the new address, but my new county didn't inform my old one. I fixed that as soon as I found out.

I just moved too. Our basement has HUGE groundhog holes that the owners "hid". I feel your pain!

According to a sign where I voted, voter fraud is a 4th degree felony with mandatory jail time and possible fine.

I love what George Will told Laura Ingrahm yesterday on her show, "The elections are a government program, therefore they don't work correctly."

If we had Bill Gates take over the elections in the US, this problem would be fixed with a national registration and elections would run with little to no voter fraud. We must demand the government fix this problem!

I think voter fraud should result in not getting to vote ever again.

I'm sorry, but I just can't pass this up. Do you mean to say that the king of viruses, malware, spyware and remote exploits could fix the elections in this country?

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaha

If bill gates were in charge of elections, you'd have thousands of script kiddies electing micky mouse as our next president.
