"Men favor Mr. Bush and women prefer Kerry but the gender gap is smaller than it was four years ago. Twenty percent of voters say they have already cast ballots, and 54 percent of those voters say they picked Mr. Bush."

This is the third paragraph from the last.

cBS can stick their poll where the sun don't shine! I wouldn't believe them even if the Pope endorsed something they had to say.

"We need a crushing victory, not just a slim victory, so the Rats will do some serious soul searching on the direction of their rotted party"

You are so right! I'd love to go back to the 2 party system where both parties had ideological differences, but the hate & venom was not there. The hate/venom/cruelty came out in full force with Clinton & the crew ( like Carville & Begala ) that followed him. A crushing victory could go a long way to disinfecting the Dems from this kind of filth......there's always hope...

I live in a Republican area in east Tennessee where there was heavy early voting. From what I saw when I voted early, most of the voters were either housewives or retirees.

I only have a land line for my modem, so I don't have a phone to answer. I use my cell for business and personal matters. I'm married with children and am a staunch conservative republican.

I feel good that Bush is up is almost all of the polls. With so much attanetion to the election, I think the national polling is probably pretty on.

I just checked the Rasmussen final poll and he has the President at just a hair past 50%. Thats the first time Rasmussen has had the President over 50% in a very long time. Kerry was at 48%. Maybe this shows a very late surge for the President.

Every time someone mentions early votes on tv, they say that voting is significantly in Kerry's favor! This $!# is turning my hair gray.

Second talking point: "The Young Vote Will Win it for Kerry." If the 18-29 y/o's turn out, landslide for Kerry.

Wasn't it CarVILE who said that those who hope for unexpected voters have a name, Losers.

I strongly suspect that the 'anybody-but-Bush' crowd voted early, registering their discontent at the first possible opportunity

Very good point.
