Just voted in Raleigh, NC. Waited about an hour.

Interesting things - Move0n Pac person wearing a red arm band monitoring the line; NAACP table set up to "remind" people about their rights; and since judges' political persuasion is not listed on the ballot anymore - a lady was passing out "recommendations" to people in line (of course the recommendations were the democrat judges).

That's against the law. Report her to the authorities.

WHOA! This was *at* the polling place!? You might want to make a call to ensure they're complying with local law.

Isn't electioneering at the polling place illegal?

Red Arm Band? UI suppose the MoveOn person was here as an election monitor from the Socialist International.

I'm in Raleigh too. Which precinct had the MoveOn goons? I voted early Oct. 26 but my dad will be going out today to vote. He is an army veteran and is all fired up.

Go Bush, Burr, Ballentine!!

Report from Iowa:

I was in line 10 minutes before the polling place opened. (Voted Libertarian -- no Rep on the ballot for state representative.) When I was coming out, there I saw a MoveOn guy with a clipboard and a sign. So I called the police. I categorized it as a "potential" case of voter intimidation and didn't give the dispatcher the name on the sign until she asked. (I decided to be little mister citizen instead of rabid Republican attack dog.) She said this was reported by someone else at another polling place.

The guy was just outside of the polling place, so I'm sure he wasn't sanctioned by anybody.
