I got to the poll three minutes before they opened. There were about 30 people in line. There were two poll watchers once I got in and the line moved smoothly. I did hear one old guy in the back of the line loudly say, "Everybody has their Bush face on!"
Everybody needs to pray for OUR President. There are no atheist in foxholes.
Okay, I really am going to stay away from FR today and keep myself busy! Really...
Everyone do what you can to get out the vote! We are going to shock the elites with the margin of victory. 310+ EV.
WOO HOO!
Just voted in Dayton, OH! At 0630, the polling station was packed. Everything went smoothly despite the rainy weather. No evidence of challengers (either side) in my precinct.
One of 71,000 72hr volunteers. Just voted and our little town had'em lined up and we knodded at each other for W.
In West. PA-going to my poll station soon.
LET'ROLL!!!!!
Ive done my thing already and I was first at my precinct. I will be heading out in a hour or so to take my grandmother and her neighbor to the polls. That will be 3 votes for W.
BTW I ended up voting for a local democrat for township supervisor after finding that he was a better republican than the republican challenger. The Democrat was instrumental in opening a local shooting range and doesn't want our local police force outsourced to the county. My disagreements with him are mostly on things I get to vote on anyway.
Yesterday afternoon the hubby and I went looking for a new vehicle. After deciding on what we wanted, we were sitting in the showroom cubicle with our salesman waiting for all the paperwork to be drawn up. Two of the salesmen on the floor started a discussion about the election. One salesman was a Bush supporter, the other a Kerry supporter.
The Bush salesman was scoring point after point against the Kerry salesman and as he looked over to where my hubby and I were sitting I gave him a "thumbs up". This brought him over to where we were sitting.
The Kerry salesman starts with, "Bushie didn't serve in the Vietnam war because he had his Daddy with his high up friends to keep him from going!"
The Bush salesman and I both jumped on that comment! And I made sure to ask him if he thought Kerry's 4 months and 11 days in Vietnam gave him the right to come back and testify against our troops still over there, and causing our POW's to be tortured further because of Kerry's testimony being used against them. So he gets off the Vietnam subject and says, "look at all Kerry has done for the people of Mass."....both the Bush salesman and I looked at each other and started laughing. We asked exactly what Kerry had done for Mass and the Kerry salesman couldn't answer. He got all flustered, couldn't answer that either and the last we saw of him he was walking out the showroom door ranting and raving to himself.
What an exceptional day!...got a new vehicle and pissed off a liberal too! You can't ask for much more....except for a BUSH/CHENEY win today!
you know, WE pay attention to these things ... i wonder just how many other people do
My polling place was very crowded this morning at 6:30 here in NYC (Queens). Funny thing, most of the voters were older people-I only saw a couple of people in their 20's.
I'm going to be one of those "challengers" aka Poll Watchers today here in Arkansas.
I pray all goes well and that we have closed THIS forum to new members...just for today :~)
sw
I voted at 7:10 AM. I was in line at 6:45. I had a re-elect Bush pin on and got many excellent feedback. The people in front and behind of me were for Bush! :) I slept very little and when I did get up I was pacing. I could not wait to get to the polls... :) !@#$$##@!!! !@@$#$#@! GO BUSH!!!!!!
Polls are open in many eastern states, it's time to let 'er rip!
Early reports here in metro Atlanta have lines two and three hundred deep or longer at many precincts both city and suburbs. I'm planning on waiting a few hours for the early voters to get in and out before I head out.
Pray on it, get out there, consider well, vote well, and come on back to raise a victory toast tonight!
Double-barrelled Mega-PING! to both lists! If you want on, FReepmail me!
That's LET'S ROLL!!!!
Between excitement and tears, praying for our Father to intervene, I can hardly type. I don't want my 8 year old son to fight 10 years from now because we elected a traitor who should have announced BinLaden as his VP instead of that empty suit from NC.
Do Republicans vote today or tomorrow?
-- Ronald Reagan, 20 January 1981
Someone tried to start a new thread on this same subject but it was pulled and referred back to this one. Thanks mods. Let's keep it that way.
Voted in NYC. Therer were two voting booths and they told Republicans to vote in one booth, Democrats to vote in the other.
