DRUMMER SAYS AEROSMITH WON'T PLAY FOR JOHN KERRY
93x ^ | 11/01/2004

Presidential candidate Senator John Kerry wins the election on Tuesday, he probably shouldn't invite AEROSMITH to play for him. Kerry wanted AEROSMITH to play the Democratic convention in Boston in late July, but the band was on tour in Japan, so frontman Steven Tyler said they'd play the inaugural if Kerry won. However, drummer Joey Kramer told Launch that there won't be any such appearances. "The band will not be performing for John Kerry. Unfortunately, he (Steven) volunteers his own services, and he volunteered the services of the band, but unfortunately at the time, I think he forgot to discuss it with the rest of us. And everybody has their views and feelings politically — obviously, we don't all agree — and so, you know, we couldn't come to a, a decision, and so it was decided not to get done."

Wrong. Tyler, the groupie mom, and Rungren knew Liv was Tyler's daughter from the get go. But Tyler was so messed up in drugs and alcohol that it was mutually agreed that no one would tell Liv he was her father, even though all parties ocassionally assoicated together.

Liv figured it out on her own when she was a teenager and realized that Tyler cried everytime he saw her. She asked her mother about it, who the told her the truth.

That said, I think the band sucks.

Tommy Kramer has the "Rocks" in the group.

You must be thinking of the former Viking QB.

Joey Kramer is Aerosmith's drummer.

Two years ago, the band visited the USS Harry Truman in Norfolk, and donated 300 tickets to the crew for their show at the Virginia Beach Ampitheater. I thought that was pretty cool.

Steven Tyler was a Bush supporter last I heard. He was at the RNC in August.

That's true, when Steven Tyler cleaned up in the early 80s, he became very focused and is now a shrewd businessman. Much like Gene Simmons did. I've always been an Aerosmith fan, seen them 3 times in concert, and I'm in one of their new music videos! I think that considering they're from Boston, that's pretty cool that they aren't going to play for Kerry. I don't think they should openly support ANYONE. Just like with Hollywood. They should be free to say what they like in their lyrics, but stay out of official political matters like inaugurations.

Dream On, Kerry.
