I'm making my get out the vote calls for BC'04 right now - of the 15 people I called, I got through to 11 - AND EVERYONE OF THEM WAS GENUINELY FIRED UP TO VOTE FOR THE PRESIDENT. The area I was calling is South-Central PA, and it sounds like the people there are chomping at the bit to get out and vote for the president tomorrow!
All you people who are worried about the polls need to go to georgewbush.com RIGHT NOW and get your list of 15 voters, and I guarantee you will not be worried AT ALL after you make your calls! WHOOO HOOO I AM FIRED UP NOW BABY!
PA is going to be cloooooooseee.
Your 15 calls are every bit as good as a Zogby poll. Good work!
My brother and sister have moved there since 2000 and are voting for BUSH. Count 4 more!
Good job. Probably, though, in PA we need a few crossovers, which won't be impossible to get. I personally still believe as of tomorrow night, both PA and NJ are going to be in W's column.
I have this image of thousands of Amish people buggying their way to the polls. The Dem poll watcher seeing this sight goes into meltdown.
May as well throw Delaware into the mix, too. :-)
I think Bush may squeak by in PA with a close win. Great news!!
The question is..what type of area was that? (If it was predominantly a Repub county..)
Congrats, tho. How do the rest of us go about getting in on the action?
I made calls today from my local Republican headquarters, and though I am in a conservative area, it was so wonderful to hear the people's reactions when I identified myself as a volunteer for President Bush.
Most of the people I got through to would interrupt me as soon as I mentioned the president's name and say something like, "I'm going to vote for him first thing in the morning. You couldn't keep me away." One lady said, "We've got to put our George back in the White House."
I called about 100 people, and not one person told me they plan to vote for Kerry. The closest I got was one man who listened to my entire spiel, then said, "Hmmmmm." I said, "Hmmmmm?" Then he abruptly hung up on me.
Hey, can anyone confirm this: My dad said that some PSU students spelled "Vote Bush" with Kerry signs on Beaver stadium field. BTW he lives in Altoona.
Love that mental picture.
Where do you get you Names and numbers on the Website??
I can't speak for anyone else, but the list I was working from was not a list of only Republicans.
LOL! That is some image. And how do you square buggies with voting??? Is this electronically??!!;^))
I live in Maryland and in my pesonal GOTV story I went door to door to urge Republicans to vote on Tuesday.
I ran into seven democrats who now live at Republican addresses, and of the seven I personally talked to FOUR of them were voting for President BUSH!! ONE even wanted to know if she could get a YARD SIGN!!
So there are cross overs here in Maryland TOO!!
All but one(undecided) of the Republicans I talked too were voting for President Bush!
BUSH/CHENEY 2004!!!!!!
Unfortunately, the votes from Pittsburgh and Philadelphia also have to be counted, too.
Southcentral PA?
I'm in the heart of that area: York. And we've gone 2-1, 3-1, for Bush, Dole, Bush, Reagan, but the liberal-demokkkRAT-socialist-commie-nazi-fascist filth in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, always trump the rest of the state's votes.
I'm counting 3-1, 4-1 Bush over Kerry lawn signs. 8-1 bumper stickers. But we only vote once, unlike the inner-city garbage bussed-in to vote early and vote often, from precinct.
