Around 6-8 THOUSAND for the VP at an extremely unconvenient time, 1200 for the has-been and the slinky dresser at a better time of day.

Thanks, Spyder! I was way over on the side. My husband took a few shots and then Dropped and Broke our digital camera (Aarrghh!!!). But at the end, he did get to shake Cheney's hand. It was just a marvellous event! I'm going send my kids in college the link to your pix - thanks again!

My husband went through the line as well. He was struck with how tiny Lynn really is in person. Bummer on the camera!

Wonderful pictures!!!
What kind of lei is Lynn Cheney wearing? It looks sorta like pikaki and little roses?

Tho local GOP is saying 5-7,000ish; the Gov said 10,000 last night; one newspaper lead with "thousands" and then also talked about the 250 protesters.
Mind you, the papers said Gore and A. Kerry "packed in" 1,200. Of course, that was a high school gym and Cheney showed up at the convention center (it holds 13,000).
These are great pics!

I heard and read 7,000 for Cheney, but Rush said 10,000 - don't know his source for that. Saw where algore had 1,200.

I don't suppose this was on Maui? I'm pretty sure I recognize those coconuts from a luau on Maui last year. They are very distinctive coconuts. I don't see how there could be... uh... two pairs of those coconuts.
