I'm not panicking, but I'm going to the phone bank in a few minutes. The presidential race shouldn't be an issue here, but we hope to elect our first Republican senator since Reconstruction. My biggest panic is that I'm losing my voice. I rarely talk as much as I have in the past three days, and my voice blanks out as it hasn't done since I passed puberty.

Oh well, it's back to "Hi, my name is Bill, and I'm calling on behalf of President Bush and US Senate candidate David Vitter. Can we count on your support tomorrow?"

Did 300 calls in CT today. Most folks I reached were pumped; a couple of nastys but then again, I'm sure they are frustrated having SKEERY for their man.
