My mother was afraid my husband would kick me out, after 31 years of marriage and THREE kids because I have so many cats. This was back when we only had five cats. My husband found out about this and told her "I was kinda hoping we would have ten cats by now. I am disappointed that we only have five!" that shut her up. LOL
You're husband is a good sport. Only 2 weeks ago mine informed me we will not be having 2 dogs in the house again after we lose our old girl.
But he did tell me I could have as many outside cats as I want. Alas finding strays where I live is near to impossible.
When I got married, I had just one cat. Every time my wife wanted to add another pet, I'd always think, "gee, I don't know, we have our hands so full already..."
Then a month after getting each new one, I couldn't imagine ever living without it. They're all so wonderful.
It's like the story I read years ago about the women who had many, many children. A friend asked, "how do you divide your love among all of them?" She replied, "you don't divide -- you multiply."
