Suicide Terrorist Strikes Tel Aviv Market
A suicide terrorist entered Tel Avivs crowded Carmel Vegetable Market and detonated his charge just after 11:15 AM near a vegetable stand. Four people were murdered in the attack.
Four to six people are reportedly in serious condition as a result of the blast while some 30 others were moderately and lightly wounded.
A vegetable stand owner in the Carmel market named Rami told reporters: We heard a loud explosion, and people started fleeing. After a few minutes, the security and emergency medical forces arrived, and they began evacuating the wounded.
Another vegetable stand owner Yair Levy said: After the blast, we left our stands and ran towards the scene of the attack to see how we could help. Some people had gone into shock, and the first thing we did was evacuate them from the area in case another blast was to go off. We do not fear coming to work here. Life must continue. We have no complaints against the police or their work.
Both Arabs and Jews work side by side in the Carmel vegetable market.
The terrorist targeted the southern part of the market near the intersection of Ramban and HaCarmel streets. Based on the damages caused to the vicinity, eye-witnesses are saying that the explosive device was not a medium-sized one. A Bomb Squad expert said that the crowded and closed-in nature of the market vicinity intensified the effect of the explosion.
The cellular phone systems in the area have collapsed.
The Prime Minister was in the Knesset plenum at the time of the attack participating in a discussion of his planned dismantling of Jewish towns in Gaza and Northern Samaria and their transfer to Arab rule. He was apprised of the attack in the midst of the Knesset debate by way of a note passed to him from his aides.
No terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack. However, police surmise at this stage that the suicide bomber belongs to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terror gang. Police believe that the terrorist left for the attack from Shechem, 30 miles northeast of Tel Aviv.
God be with those who mourn and those who are wounded.
The mistakenly-called "palestinian! arabs at it again...
Israeli Dead: 938 (21.5%)
Palestinian Dead: 3417 (78.5%)
American Jews, take a good, hard look at these photos of innocent Israeli's blown to bits by a suicide bomber. Just think, aren't you really happy that you are voting for John Kerry, and that he will make nice with the enemies of Israel. It won't be long until those "friendly" Arab terrorists come knocking on your door right here in the good old USA looking to wipe you all off the face of God's earth. But, my friends, you go right ahead and vote for John Kerry. It will hasten your murder and beheading just as you voted for!!!
The Muslim command to kill Jews in order to emulate the Prophet. The treatment of the Jews by the Prophet has became the standard by which the classical Muslim jurists formulated their policy toward non-Muslims, as embodied in the Shari'a and in the jihads rules. Hence, when non-Muslims (primarily Hindus and Christians) were killed in Bali, Amrozi, the Indonesian terrorist, invoked the fate of the Jews in the oasis of Khaybar, perhaps confusing them with the mass slaughter of their co-religionists, the Qurayza. Although many of the Jews of Khaybar were killed in an unprovoked jihad campaign by Muhammad, those vanquished Khaybar Jews who surrendered were not killed, but were dispossessed and became exploited dhimmi tributaries, until, within a decade later, they were expelled by the "Rightly Guided" Caliph Umar.
As Mr. Akyol stated rightly, this was not exceptional at that time. The problem now is that such acts have been attributed to the Prophet Muhammad who is the model to be emulated by all Muslims. Hence, while even worse wars might have been perpetrated in the world by rulers long since forgotten, the acts and sayings of Muhammad concerning non-Muslims are still binding for over a billion Muslims today. To decry Dr. Bostoms analyses, based on 13 centuries of Islamic teaching and writing, and accepted today in all Muslim countries, is almost surrealistic.
In fact, there is no way for us, in the 21st century, to know what really happened in a small Arabian oasis in the seventh century given the lack of contemporary evidence. But Mr. Akyol again contradicts himself by implying that the Qurayzas punishment was justified, because they acted treacherously while of course there are no objective proofs for such accusations, which rest merely on the demonization of the victims. Moreover the problem does not concern only the Qurayza Jews but the Jews and Christians throughout the Hedjaz, who were, soon afterward dispossessed, and within a decade of Muhammads death, expelled, according to his professed (i.e., again, in the sira) deathbed wishes. http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/2004/10/003675print.html
At least they are killing more Palistinian Terrorists than Jewish citizens.
Or do those numbers include Palistinians who just happened to be standing next to the bomb?
Bump for the victims.
The Palestinians are killing far more Arabs than Jews, mostly the Christian ones. Bethlehem was greater than 80% Christian when it was handed over to Arafat to "Administer" now it is around 5%. Yet nobody is buying land...
The ammount of missing Christians is about 10 times the size of your "Palestinian" total.
So my best guess is:
Israeli Dead: 938 (3%)
Palestinian Dead: 3417 (7%)
Christian Dead 50,000+ (90%)
The last "intifadda" Afafat killed 4 Arabs for every Jew he killed, and nobody counted the Christian. This time nobody knows the true figures yet, and still nobody is counting the Christians...
