I'm tired of trying to refute liberals' claims against George Bush and the U.S. with discussions based on logic. They don't listen.
We need a list of quick and easy one-liners that can get to the core of the issue and silence the liberals, or at least give them something to think about.
Here are a few liberalisms (in quotes) with a one-line rebuttal to each. Please add yours to the list.
"Bush started this war."
No, the terrorists did.
"It's like Japan attacked America, and then America attacked Mexico."
No, it's like Japan attacked the U.S., and the U.S. attacked Japan and Germany.
"Kerry will only tax the rich."
Consider yourself rich.
(Kerry thinks you are rich but he isn't.)
"Kerry is a war hero."
That's what the Communists in Vietnam are saying.
"It's my right to vote."
You have a right to vote one time, in one place, and only for yourself.
In 1993 Kerry cast the deciding vote in favor of the largest tax increase in United States History. He taxed EVERYONE! Their paychecks, their gasoline, their Social Security. And he says it was his proudest moment in the Senate. Actions speak louder than words
yeah - you get that line somewhere after the point when they have tried to cow you into submission by attacking your motives and calling you a "...ist" of some kind. I deal with this cop-out all the time.
oh... that's eeeeeeeeevil!
and I take it pointing out the 1993 WTC bombing, the Cole attack, several others I'm too tired to name, and the fact that the 911 attacks were set in motion as early as 1997 doesn't jar this person's convictions one little bit, does it?
"Dell makes great buses!"
I'm tellin' ya...
Massive tax increases for the powerful and privileged Washington D.C. elites will not stop our good paying private sector jobs from being outsourced.
Federal forests full of dead, dying, and burning trees makes air pollution worse and raises water temperatures.
Yes, and 15,000 people died in France from a heat wave.
Yes, and in Canada it takes weeks to see a doctor and months to see a specialist or get an MRI.
"...and I take it pointing out the 1993 WTC bombing, the Cole attack, several others I'm too tired to name, and the fact that the 911 attacks were set in motion as early as 1997 doesn't jar this person's convictions one little bit, does it?"
You nailed it. I just reminded him of these events today when he spoke lovingly of Clinton as "one of the best Presidents this country has ever had."
How's this for succinct: NONE of your issues matter if Islamofascists come here and kill us. Vote for the guy you believe will fight back best.
Then, in a few months, when they start complaining about how there isn't world peace, etc., I'm going to tell them that I'm happy for them because this is what they wanted.
Then when they notice that the body count is higher than Bush's, I am going to tell them that I'm happy for them because this is what they wanted.
When they say that this is not blood on Kerry's hands but a war that Bush started, I will remind them that the blood is on Kerry's hands because this is no longer Bush's war--it will be Kerry's "plan". And I am happy for them because this is the "plan" they voted for.
How about a big 'FU-Q'. It's worked for me a few times.
You asked for succinct.
You mean preventing another terrorist attack shold be the priority?
(Or do you mean having a stable Afghan government shouldn't be the priority?)
