(7) who, having been a citizen of the United States, has renounced his citizenship; (8) is subject to a court order that restrains such person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner of such person or child of such intimate partner or person, or engaging in other conduct that would place an intimate partner in reasonable fear of bodily injury to the partner or child, except that this paragraph shall only apply to a court order that - (A) was issued after a hearing of which such person received actual notice, and at which such person had the opportunity to participate; and (B)(i) includes a finding that such person represents a credible threat to the physical safety of such intimate partner or child; or (ii) by its terms explicitly prohibits the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force against such intimate partner or child that would reasonably be expected to cause bodily injury; or (9) has been convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.

I really find it amazong that a Man who might be able to become the next President of the USA, would be allowed to assume that office without a credible background inspection. Especially one who we all know participated in demonstratitons against the foreign policy of the United States and who is suspect of the highest crime in the land next to murder.

It is totally unreasonable to ask a country to accept this or his legal claim to Senator let alone the Presidency of the USA and in the time of WAR no less. There must be some legal vehicle that that is available to the Congress, to demand that this information be brought to light, before the election.

This is an interesting line of investigation, but it's about 10 months too late to influence this election. I always wondered why the Kerry people went after the President's National Guard Service so hard when it was eminently obvious that the official Republicans and the Bush Campaign were happy to concede Kerry's honorable service and his medals. I never bought the "we saw bad things about the Senator's record on defense on the Internet" excuse. It makes sense that the Democrats would assume that the President's people, like Bill Clinton's minions before them, would examine Kerry's military records, and selectively release incriminating portions to the press. In hindsight, it seems that the Democrats response to that possibility was to try to suggest that the President didn't deserve his honorable discharge. If Kerry's "other than honorable" was revealed, the DNC could say that it was recrimination by the evil Richard Nixon Administration (an injustice that Jimmy Carter remedied), and that Kerry (OTH Discharge notwithstanding) had at least fought for his country, while Bush had used influence peddling to earn his honorable discharge. Had it not been for the election of draft dodger Clinton, it's doubtful that Kerry would have ever run for President.
